I love it!
Paper mache is a favorite medium of mine.

I've seen the term and I looked through the gallery.  I see that all of the zetti ATCs have characters on them.  Usually a photo of a face and a drawn body?  Is that it?  What does the term refer to?

I'm learning all kinds of new stuff. Cheesy

Well that makes perfect sense!  It hadn't even occured to me.  I'm used to 3-D stuff. Cheesy

Thanks.
They look so much better up close.  The texture on the tree and fish is done with tiny little circles.  The tuna lost it's subtle coloring in the photo.
Any tips on getting pics to come out better?

Oop!  I didn't see that there was a "my first" thread.  Sorry!
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / My very first ATCs on: February 21, 2007 06:43:22 PM
I'm having a little trouble photographing them.  I hope they're not too blurry.

The first two are drawn with pen.  The third is a little watercolor with some rub on letters.
What do you think?

Thanks for all the ideas!  I want to post the finished results. Smiley

Congratulations!  Beautiful work.  I hope you're pursuing art after high school!

I'm a high school art teacher.  One of the classes I teach is called Design/Craft and I think I'm going to do an ATC lesson with them.  I can't wait!
I've never made trading cards myself so I'm looking for tips.

I'm going to do this with two class. so that's almost 80 students.  Yes, my classes are huge.  Obviously, budget becomes as issue.  They'll be happy to contribute found objects if I can tell them what to look for.  Of course I want there to be a lot of variety so everyone can make original looking pieces.

What sort of found objects can I ask them to look for?   What things do you like to use?

What regular supplies do you like to have on hand?
I've got the basics: scissors, xacto knives, glue sticks, hot glue, mod podge, rubber cement, ink, stamp pads, art paper, some handmade paper...what else?

I think that's a great idea!  We have a deaf rescue dog.  She gets very nervous when people come out of nowhere and want to pet her.  She's getting better, though. Wink
