Thanks. They look so much better up close. The texture on the tree and fish is done with tiny little circles. The tuna lost it's subtle coloring in the photo. Any tips on getting pics to come out better?

I'm a high school art teacher. One of the classes I teach is called Design/Craft and I think I'm going to do an ATC lesson with them. I can't wait! I've never made trading cards myself so I'm looking for tips.
I'm going to do this with two class. so that's almost 80 students. Yes, my classes are huge. Obviously, budget becomes as issue. They'll be happy to contribute found objects if I can tell them what to look for. Of course I want there to be a lot of variety so everyone can make original looking pieces.
What sort of found objects can I ask them to look for? What things do you like to use?
What regular supplies do you like to have on hand? I've got the basics: scissors, xacto knives, glue sticks, hot glue, mod podge, rubber cement, ink, stamp pads, art paper, some handmade paper...what else?
