1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / radioactive theme party ideas? on: October 15, 2010 05:21:53 PM
My friend wants to have a radioactive/biohazard themed halloween party. I looked online and besides using the radioactive symbol everywhere there were not really any ideas. Does anyone have any ideas I can make or buy to make this party look cool? I already bought some black fabric and fluorescent paint to spray the symbol everywhere. Then we were going to have black lights on that. I'm doing the decorations and that's all I have so far. Thanks for any ideas.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / New home for my fish! on: September 16, 2009 09:25:41 PM
$10 and an old gumball machine.

3  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Craft The Vote! / Obama Cupcakes anyone? on: October 31, 2008 07:58:15 PM
I made these Obama cupcakes to bring to a calling party for him. I also brought them to the bar where I sing karaoke to tell everyone to go out and vote for him. I said they were eating a sweet taste of victory. And for my republican friends-devouring the competition.

I am going to pass out more and tell people to vote for him when I give them one.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / 30 days of Obama t-shirts on: October 18, 2008 08:23:20 PM
I really like Obama but where I live next to Chicago almost everyone does. I printed lots of shirts for my friends to wear and I decided to wear an Obama shirt everyday for 30 days. I am on day 13 right now 17 days to go. Here is one shirt I made to wear for it. It was a really large t-shirt that I cut up and sewed and also screen printed his face on. Sorry about the bad pictures. Most of my friends like the shirts but I am discouraged with some of my friends who have made nasty rude comments to me about voting for him. Things that a friend should not say to another friend. But I am still wearing my shirts!

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Orange/Blue Oodles of Buttons Necklace on: June 24, 2008 08:57:33 PM
I love buttons!
I made this button necklace to wear to work when I had to work at the bead and button show. I wire wrapped all the buttons onto the chain then I added pearls and fire polish for the end.
It's orange and blue not exactly the same colors as in the scan.

6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Macro Challange-Fire on: May 01, 2008 10:11:12 PM
I hope this picture counts. I don't have macro on my camera so I used the close up setting. It's part of a lamp I have. I just got as close as I could to it. Nothing done on photoshop. I think it looks like fire.
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Counting Crows Wallet on: April 13, 2008 07:46:49 PM
My favorite band is counting crows so I decided to make a counting crows wallet. I used fabric and iron on transfers. The images are from some of their cd covers.

8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Self Portrait on: October 21, 2007 07:59:42 PM
I was an art major in college but my job has nothing to do with art now and it's boring so I had to start doing some art again. So here is a self portrait I am working on. I hope it's good because I want to start painting again. So it's supposed to kind of be like i'm painting a self portrait of myself in the painting. If you can understand that. I am going to have my paint palette, cup of brushes, paintbrush, ipod... painted in the picture.
sorry the pictures are so bad they are from my phone.
I don't know why but I did the painting on four canvas panels.

Real ipod cords with my painted ipod.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Awesome Button Skirt on: August 08, 2007 05:19:47 PM
I made this skirt out of a pair of jeans my neighbor gave me. They were too big so I cut the legs apart and sewed them together horizontally. Then I added orange ribbon, stitching, and lots of buttons. Well I hate to wear anything with out pockets and I was wondering if it would look ok to add a pocket to the front of the skirt? Would that look bad?

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Orange necklace/Copper green purple necklace (6 pictures) on: February 25, 2007 09:00:02 PM
I started making beaded jewelry again. Here are my first two new projects. I'm horrible at taking pictures of the jewelry so I hope you can see them ok.
The first one is a necklace I made out of firepolish, swarovski, and glass beads

This is a necklace, bracelet, and earrings I made in copper, purple, and green colors.
