1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Cozy Mary Jane slippers on: December 08, 2010 03:33:08 PM
Oooh!  I want to make some of those!  :-)
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Inchie-folio on: October 26, 2010 08:17:06 AM
I mostly throw pottery, but I have so many pieces now that I forget what I've made.

Carrying around a giant album of photos is way too much, so I've been building an inchie-folio of all my pottery pieces.  :-)

My officemate and I just spent 5 solid minutes laughing our assess off at how totally amazingly hilarious & awesome this is --  finally we fell out of our chairs.  This is amazing.  You have one very lucky husband.  :-)

Thanks everyone!

My Perfect Teacup was the second photo, bottom left -- white outside, purple inside, fits perfectly in my hand.

It was funny, though -- every single person who's seen the collection has had a different favorite.  Many of them have insisted that the ones I find *hideous* are the best.  Go figure.  :-)

Ah yes, KidWithKemikals, I liked that one too . . . until I realized that the inside glaze contained barium carbonate (what they put in rat poison).  No one ever gets to drink out of that poor teacup.

About 10 months ago, I decided to try to throw the Perfect Teacup on the pottery wheel.

So far, I've thrown somewhere in the neighborhood of a billion.

Every surface of my apartment is covered in teacups.  I give the nice ones as gifts.  The ones who displease me are smashed with a sledgehammer & their shards used for mosaics.  I now have 3 that I like, but of course they don't match, so my new mission in life is a *matching set* of Perfect Teacups.

Anyway, here is a small sampling of my teacup collection:

Yes, those are teacups stacked inside my sunhat.

What used to be a windowsill & is now yet another teacup storage space.
7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Birthday Adventure Guidebook! on: October 07, 2009 06:14:08 AM
I made this Adventure Book for my boyfriend's surprise birthday roadtrip.  I love the way the cover turned out!

:-)

Each of the stops on the roadtrip was sealed in twine -- at each stop, he got to unwrap the next one, so he never really knew where we were going.  Mwahahahahaha!  :-)

Beautiful!  Just beautiful.  :-)
9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Astronomy Tile on: September 04, 2009 08:06:40 AM
This was an experiment in thermofaxes on ceramics, but I *love* they way it turned out!

I made tile coasters these for my friend's wedding -- they turned out a little blurry, but they loved them anyway.  :-)
