6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / WORKING gumball machine card! on: March 28, 2010 08:36:35 PM

I made this gumball machine using a Sweet Treat Cup from Stampin' Up.  There is a little mechanism inside that turns to allow the candy to come through the bottom of the machine.  It's made out of paper.  The circle of paper in the front, with the brad in the center, is what turns to work the machine.

It's not too hard to make, it's just a little simple cutting and folding!

Supplies Needed:
Scissors
Scoring Tool
Craft Knife
Sweet Treat Cup from Stampin Up
Cardstock
Printed Template From These Instructions
Paper Trimmer
Circle Cutter
Strong Adhesive Such as Score Tape
Removable Adhesive
Pop Dot
Small Candy
A Brad
A Pencil and Eraser

Basic Things to Have Ready Before Beginning the Assembly
3 circles that are 1 inch in diameter white cardstock

2 circles that are 1 and inches in diameter white cardstock

A inch strip of paper that is about 6 -7 inches long white cardstock

A standard 4 and by 5 and inch card base

A front layer to the card that is 4 by 5 and

A layer for the inside of the card that is just slightly smaller to allow for easy closure

2 pieces that are 3 and by 4 and one to show through the Sweet Treat cup, and the other to match the inside layer of the card

A inch colored strip of cardstock for a pull tab, or ribbon as an alternative

I worked very hard on this, and am happy to report that you can get a FREE template on my blog, and there are 2 videos with detailed instructions!    Smiley

Here's the post with the videos and template on my blog.   http://stayingcrafty.blogspot.com/2010/03/functional-gumball-machine-card-free.html
