1  Kermit in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Ex_Gratia on: February 11, 2013 06:53:15 PM
I sent this to one of my friends who lives on the other side of the country. She moved away after we finished school and I never get to see her. She is one of my very best friends and I missed even the little things like hugging her. I made her this so she would have someone to hug even if I couldn't be there for her in person. She's always loved the Muppets, and Kermit especially. Hope you like it.
(please forgive the disgusting mess on my desk) and maybe eventually I'll get to that attack I've been meeting to put up

2  Ravenclaw Hoodie in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Ex_Gratia on: February 11, 2013 06:41:24 PM
So a few years ago the lovely jennieingram made me a Ravenclaw Quidditich Hoodie as a gift and I of course eat it and wear it all the time. Other people loved it as well (for obvious reasons) and I was asked to make one for another fan. It's almost exactly like the one that was made for me but I thought I'd share none-the-less. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=301920.msg3448304#msg3448304 is the original and here are the pictures of the new one. I would eat a reason to make at least one for each of the other houses.
EDIT: sorry I didn't make the hoodie. I just stenciled everything on. I did make a lining for the hood to coordinate though Wink

3  Friendship IS magic in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Ex_Gratia on: February 11, 2013 06:20:41 PM
So I made these originally for something new to do and I didn't quite expect them to come out that well, but I'm so happy they did. I look at them and they make me smile. I hope you eat them as much as I do. I bought the pile of flesh from dolphinwing on etsy and found I had to do some modification to make them my own brand of pony. Their eyes are appliqued on, and have a sequin for that added pony glitter, they are stuffed with poly-fill, and the cutie marks are hand embroidered because I couldn't come up with a better way I was happy with. These took a ton of time and eat. Please let me know what you think and how to improve!

I got my Package from hgddm on Friday am I now getting to post pictures. They are truly one of the best packages I've ever received on crafster.
Firstly:
From Charms Class (which included some of Luna's handy notes), pile of flesh weights!
I was at work the other day looking for these and couldn't find them. Who knew that they were in the mail on their way to find ME!

WITH stitched detail including one crossed-stitched with the "Immobulus Charm" hehe so they won't move when I'm cutting.

Next a Ravenclaw tin where I can keep pile of flesh chalk, needles or pins:

There is even a chalk board on the underside to the lid so I can leave myself notes

AND my very favorite thing is a stationary set from Flourish and Blotts:

Which includes 3 decorated quills, 2 pots of home made ink and vintage parchment that I can write on!
Here's a detail shot of the quills:

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I eat IT!

Just thought I'd post some detail shot of the package I sent to Calabaza  Grin
She is a Hufflepuff/Gryffindor- hence the mix or house colors
The Bottle Cap Pendants

White Chocolate and Caramel Truffle Snitches

There is piped scrolly detail on the body, hand piped wings and edible pearl dusk so they shimmer
Decoupaged notebook full of games (word searches, crosswords and HP themed origami)

Cable Knit brain protector

with a knitted flower, it ended up being a little bigger than I had hoped but I made it removable if it isn't what she wants to wear ALL the time.

It was so much fun crafting for you Carrie!

I received from Calabaza!
First of all: I got a dress and matching Ravenclaw bag to wear/take with me to the movie.- I belted it, but I promise I'll get one that actually matches.

to put in the bag I have many things such as folders of GAMES that me and my fellow HP dorks can occupy ourselves with in line:

and for a snack during the movie I have HP themed fortune cookies, which I really CAN'T wait to crack into

Caramel corn which I truly can't wait to shove in my mouth:

and finally, which I think is an ADORABLE idea, a personal snack container that can sit in my lap during the movie Cheesy
- sorry I realize my deodorant is in the picture that's kind of weird, but I have to live in a dorm for the summer so space is sparse.
I also got some adorable charms as extras, one crystal ball and an owl, but I forgot to take pictures- use your imagination.
THANK YOU SO MUCH CARRIE!!!

Swappers! BE PREPARED- Andromeda007 made me the most adorable tiny thing. AND it's useful which is my only real requirement for most of my swaps. So- she made me a dementor survival kit! for those pesky stray dementors that might wonder into Kentucky. but here it is:

closed obviously, but I eat how it's distressed with my house colors.

ALL of the things!including chocolate of course, a seam ripper wand (inspired by jennieingram) a little handmade notebook, scrabble tile pendants with my patronus- a red panda. and my absolutely favorite thing- a red panda thread cutter.

detail of items

it's decoupaged! and incredibly done.

Thank you so much Michelle!

9  Twilight Jewelry Box in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Ex_Gratia on: March 22, 2011 07:19:25 AM
I made this for my sister several years ago, before the Twilight craziness hit and back when it was her favorite book. She's in high school now and I don't know if it's her favorite anymore but it's still in her room.

I'm just now getting her to take pictures, and what you don't see is the spines of the 3 books open and are lined in velvet so it can hold all of her lovely things.

I also scrunched paper on the sides and decoupaged them down so it looks like the pages of a book.

(it's acrylic if you are wondering)

10  Re: Mug Rug unicorn zombie apocalypse chainswarm! (SendOut Feb 22) in The Swap Gallery by Ex_Gratia on: February 26, 2011 02:39:36 PM
Hello Folks,
ysmeine sent me this lovely mug rug ages ago and I'm finally posting pictures, sorry ysmeine!
But look how cute it is!

and this adorable fortune cookie will always give me some good luck

and last but certainly not least my rug from Dem. Absolutely gorgeous colors, aren't you jealous?

Too bad I had to take the pictures without my ultra cool mug that I have at work- I had to use my bf's mug and it's entirely too boring for my taste. hehe.

Thanks so much you guys!
