Pattern: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall02/PATThaiku.html Haiku from Knitty
Yarn: Berroco Cotton Twist Variegated in http://www.berroco.com/shade_cards/cotton_twist_colors_sh.html Secret Garden
Needle size: 8
needle type: clover bamboo 24 inch circs (knitted flat)
recipient: Alice, my friend's baby who just turned 1 last Friday.
comments: My first completed sweater! I'm so glad it fits, and looks so nice. It isn't pefect by any means, but the colors make up for it. I like the way the pattern allows for so much customization and any type of yarn.

4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / how long to give them? on: February 19, 2004 11:37:55 AM
I delivered my first wholesale order on Feb. 2nd and still haven't gotten paid. They were supposed to give me a check at the time but my boyfriend did the delivering and forgot to wait for it or ask after it. I sent the buyer an email a few weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. This is a very legit store and I don't want to be a nag, but I really could use the money.  They told me initally if they didn't pay me upon delivery they'd send the check to the address on the invoice.
Should I call?
5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / first wholesale order on: January 15, 2004 08:39:20 AM
I got my first wholesale order today! Now I just need some technical advice. Since they are local, I assume I am expected to deliver the stuff?
They also asked if I would expect payment on delivery or would billing them be okay. I don't even know how I would bill someone. Should I just create a receipt and give it to them with the order?
Help! I don't want to look unprofessional.

7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / shipping costs, wholesale prices on: December 16, 2003 06:44:17 AM
Hi everyone, I've just started selling my crafts, and am about to launch my site

I've decided to start out with paypal for ease of use. My big concern is how to calculate shipping. Should I just take my products to the post office, weigh them, and use those as my shipping costs? Should I get a postal scale?

My second question concerns wholesale pricing. I got approached by a buyer at a craft fair this weekend (eeep!) and I'm super excited, but I have no idea what to charge for a wholesale order. How would I calculate that? It's for my vagina soaps, which I was selling at the craft fair for $4. I'm not sure how much my materials will cost, as I am going to start buying in bulk and not just craft store sales.

Thanks,

Betsy
