11  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / String Block Frustration on: February 26, 2011 03:11:10 PM
Hi all!  I'm having difficulty making a paper pieced string block.  No matter what I do, I can't get the solid strip in the middle to match up.  I've made 3 attempts.   Angry I made sure my seam allowance was accurate and it still turns out yucky.  Also, I reduced my stitch length to perforate the paper and either it rips out the stitches or the paper doesn't completely tear away.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

The picture is my first attempt.

12  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Care Bear Quilt on: September 21, 2010 05:47:50 PM
This is my first quilt.  I finally finished it.  It only took me 2 years. LOL!!!  I'm so glad it's done.  The back of the quilt is the same Care Bear fabric as the borders.

Thanks for checking it out!

I can't get enough of the mixed tape fabric by Timeless Treasures.  It reminds me of my childhood.  So I made this cute pleated bag out of it.  Thanks for looking!

I simply adore this pleated bag.  I have enough fabric left over to make another one for me, of course!  A girl can NEVER have too many bags or too many shoes.   Grin  I hope you like it!  Thanks for looking.

15  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Another Deck of Cards on: February 13, 2010 08:41:24 AM
I know there are a gazillion of these on here, but this is the one I made my hubby last year.  Now I'm stuck.  Valentine's Day is 1 day away and I have no time to make him a gift.  How can I top this?  He said it was the best gift he ever received.  Oh, and yes, he really does put the toliet seat down! LOL  Grin

18  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Fabric Napkins & Coasters on: November 25, 2009 08:54:51 PM
Americans use over 2,000 napkins a year!  I made these fabric napkins to do my part to help the environment.  I hope you like them.  I also made patchwork coasters to match the sushi napkins.  The napkins have the same pink polka dot fabric on the back.  Cheesy Thanks for looking!
