did you snip the seam allowances at the points at the top of each scallop?
you could also cut little wedge-shaped pieces out of the seam allowances in the curves of the scallops too.

i don't know if you did this already, but if you did, sorry!

I made this from scratch for my sister for christmas!
i made the pattern to fit her perfectly and it's even got a little pocket in the yellow streak

photobucket made the seams look... odd, but i promise they are prefectly smooth and wonderful

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / foot lamp!! (first post!) on: August 12, 2009 08:26:34 AM
i made this bad boy in art class back in grade 11. we could do whatever we wanted with the plaster cast as long as it wasn't just skin coloured with some nail polish.

so naturally i decided to make my foot into a working lamp AND paint some fruit and veggies WITH FACES onto it.

side with creepy lime, some beans and a green bean

front with the green bean and a carrot

the other side with some peas in a pod, a pear, and some asparagus

the bits of green are some leftover turtle wax that i was too lazy to scrap off (it is used so the poured plaster doesnt stick to the plaster cast)

i am by no means a good artist but i'm still quite pleased with this!
