I love these mug rugs and I love that yours isn't rectangular!  Beautiful fabrics too.

Very cute. Love the colors too!
Thanks!

So proud of you! I been wisting over these since I first found Craftster, but am too new to machine sewing to give it a go. I always admire these wallets! Great job and keep up the great work!
Thanks!

your new wallet is really cute.  where did you find the pattern?

Thanks! I didn't really use a pattern for this.  I got some measurements (for the card slots) off of a wallet pattern but I didn't follow it past that.  For the rest, I checked it against a wallet I got on sale that was similar to what I wanted (lots of pockets), and changed pieces of it to make it exactly what I wanted it.

Hello Craftster peeps!  Yesterday was a snowy day here in CT, so I sewed all day to make this!

The outside is quilted, and there is 16 card/ID slots, 4 money/coupon/receipt slots, and a zippered coin pocket.  It also has a magnetic clasp.  But I'm pretty stinkin' proud of this since it's the first wallet I've made!  I hope you like it too!

Top section-8 card slots and 2 money slots:

Bottom section-8 card slots, zippered coin pocket with money slots on either side of it:

And here was the view from my kitchen table this morning.  I'm not really a snow person, but this was so pretty I had to share it.

If I make another one, I'll use a different interfacing and cut it so that the interfacing isn't in the side seams for less bulk, and I'll make it just a bit bigger so I can topstitch around the whole thing for a more tailored look.  One reference I used called for a product called Stitch-n-Shape.  Has anyone used this before?  How does it work out?

Thanks for looking!

7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Happy Halloween! quilt top on: October 31, 2010 11:11:17 AM
Happy Halloween!  Usually, I don't get too excited about this holiday, but I have good reason this year!  I made a Halloween-themed twin size quilt top.  The fabric is mostly from a Halloween fat quarter bundle from http://www.thequiltplace.com/ supplemented with more fabric from the Fat Quarter Shop.  The pattern is from QUILT magazine, but for some reason isn't available on their archives.  So far, this is just the quilt top, but I still wanted to share!

(Freebie shot: my kitty Arwen!)

I just realized after finishing this top that I tend to make very busy quilts.  I like it here, but I'll have to work on that in the future.  Enjoy your spooky Sunday!
C + C welcome!

Hi Everybody!
I just wanted to share pics of my first two quilts I made this summer.
Here's the first one:

It's a bargello-style quilt from random stash fabric.  My favorite is the Tinkerbell fabric.  I quilted is stitch-in-the-ditch style.

The second was from a pattern from a magazine that is now in the trash, sorry!  It came out this summer.  It's made with the Metro Market fabric collection.  This quilt was given to a friend of ours who survived a bad car accident and is now healing.

This was quilted outline-style.

I hope you like them!
