Cute!

Great work!  I've seen this pattern before, but was never really fond of the center panel.  I love the changes you made!  Would you mind sharing your notes?  It looks like you made the 24 month pattern.  That's the same size I'll be making.

Cool, Therisa!  I can't wait to see the FO.

And, wow, Anya!  I love the mods you made!!   Shocked
Thanks for sharing the patterns, too.

I'm nearly finished with my Vitamin Parade.  I just need to do the underlining and the lettering.  I'm deciding what stitches and colors to use atm.

Similar question:

I was going to do bottom right, but my design looks like it was meant for the left.  I may just flip it and reprint it, but that means I'll have to get started on it tomorrow - if dh remembers to print it for me at work. :p

Here's the pattern (the one on the left), I thought the flowers looked better closer to the corner.

What do you think?

I love it!  What lettering is that?  It's so cool and goes with your snail style perfectly.  Smiley

I'd love to join.  I'm working on vogart 678.  My WIP is here.
8  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Re: My first embroidery ever... on: April 09, 2008 02:44:23 PM
Thanks everyone!

I wanted to learn as much as I could from this little guy, so I played around with different amounts of strands and as many different types of stitches that I could squeeze in.  The main outline is split stitch, the yellow is french knots, and the wings are stem stitch.

 Cheesy

10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: any whittlers or woodcarvers here? i am in dire need of help on: April 07, 2008 11:02:51 AM
I know this thread is fairly old, but I'm wondering how it went, Jamie?  Did you start whittling?  I have really wanted to start, but haven't taken the time to go out looking for branches (urban dweller).  I love the tips and tricks posted here and am wondering if there are any new ones that someone hasn't already mentioned.

If I were to buy just 1 tool for getting started, what would I need?  I'd rather a whittle tool instead of a random sharp knife (which I don't really have anyhow.)

TY!
