11  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: FRUGAL LIVING SWAP-Round 6: Dance on Down To Frugal Town! (SU7/19-8/1,SO 9/8) on: September 16, 2014 05:27:19 PM
This is the great package I got!

Painted jar for keeping spare change
handmade vanilla (yum!  - we will use this a lot!)
plastic dinos (Levi has been using them to dive for in the pool)
washcloth (which Levi took to bed with him)
handmade "breakfast" soap
hand embroidery pattern and fabric
Some flash cards for Levi
And a big piece of soft brown fabric

Its all stuff that will get a lot of use!  Thanks!

I have planned what I'm making, I have to pick up a couple things before I can start though, my sister had me make something for her and it used up some of my supplies, she is supposed to replace but hasn't yet!

15  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Binding a fabric book (busy book)? on: July 19, 2014 08:36:32 PM
What is the easiest/best way to bind a fabric book?   I'm planning on making a "busy book" for a 3yr old with fabric, but I'm not sure how to best assemble.
16  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ottobre "size translations?" on: June 09, 2014 07:52:52 PM

My almost 7yr old wears a size 98 or 104, sometimes with some length added.   He wears a 4T in store clothes.
17  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 99 ENTRIES / Tiny Tooth Fairy Note on: June 07, 2014 09:49:34 PM
My almost 7yr old lost his first tooth!  So for my tiny thing I made a teeny tiny tooth fairy note.   Its just made from regular paper and tiny "tooth fairy handwriting".   The envelope I decorated with red and blue like the old air mail envelopes used to be (at least from what I remember).   I put a little glitter in there as well!     He loved getting the tiny note and was so careful opening it to read.

In case you can't read it, it says " Dear Levi,  Congratulations on loosing your first tooth!  Remember to brush at least twice a day.  Love, The Tooth Fairy"

I also made the pillowcase with pocket to put them in.

I'm in! Could we sign up more than one child? I have 3 boys who love getting craftster goodies!

Yep - you could either share one package for all the kids, or do more than one package, but you'd have to send one package for each you got back, so it would be more work on your part.
19  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Spring/easter/easter basket theme kid swap? on: March 06, 2014 06:43:34 AM
Anyone interested in a swap for kids easter/spring stuff?   i.e. things to put in easter baskets?   My kid is allergic to candy, so I try and do his easter basket/eggs filled with handmade things.

Maybe something like 3 smalls, and 6 easter egg stuffers?   Maybe a medium as well, but I don't know if that would be too much?

I can organize this if there is interest, but I'd like to get it going soon!

Glad you like it, Leigh-Ann ... I apologize, the battery for it is sitting right here on my table!  It didn't make in the box Smiley

Levi made a battery tester in his homeschool science class, so he had a whole big bag of batteries he found to test - so I had him locate a working one for me to stick in the clock!  Smiley

Zcrafter -  He is still carrying around the snake!  Its been going in the car with us too, and tonight he got out of bed to collect it from the living room.   Its name is rattles because he thinks its a rattle snake.   It also apparently works as a jump rope.
