I bought the pre-made cookie dough for these.  I'm glad I did because I never realized how much work gingerbread cookies are to decorate!  I will never again use frosting for the eyes and mouth.. next time perhaps I'll opt for red hots.

I lightly sandpapered the avocado green cover.  I used plain white, orange & pink construction paper for the inside.  I also recycled one of my husband's old Aviation handbooks and threw in some cool pages of airplane diagrams and stuff.  I'd love to know what you think!

This is a real teeny book 'charm' ( I added a little loop so I can wear it on a necklace ) -- its bound just like a big book would be.

I've been making these little treat boxes for my daughter's teachers for xmas...the busdriver, our mailman etc etc

I covered hershey chocolate 'nuggets' candy with scrapbooking paper & made coordinating little boxes to match also from scrapbooking paper & cardstock:

a recent finished project. I'd love to know what you think of my new rug

The rug measures about 33" across.  I did not really follow a pattern at all.  I just single crocheted in the round.  I think I started by chaining 6 & then I joined with a slip stitch to form a ring.  From there I just single crocheted like you would if you were making a hat or amigurumi and increased my stitches here & there ( I didn't even keep track of rows ) I just eyeballed it and made sure it was laying flat every few rows.

To make the yarn I starting tearing about a 1 1/2" strip but stopped ripping about 1-2 inches from the end & then repeated this process again on the other side while keeping the first strip connected. I repeated this step until I had one long continuous strip. This elimated any sewing to join strips or countless knotting of each single strip. When I needed to join another color I just knotted the two strips together.

Hope that title made sense.  I am not a newbie crocheter but i'm going crazy over here w/my current project.  I am making some hats in the round..and i dont join at the end of the round..i just keep spiraling so there is no seam.  but I cant seem to change colors without the new color being all off rows?  I searched craftster & google and cant find a tutorial on how to change colors in the round?  can anybody help?  I have no problem changing colors with anything else..so I have no idea what i'm doing wrong! thanks in advance!

I just finished up this capelet as a custom order.  I didn't use a pattern.. I just winged it.  I think it came out pretty cute
