1  Re: Secret Santa 2013 Swap Gallery--Opening Weekend this weekend! in The Swap Gallery by VegasZombie on: December 07, 2013 06:14:21 PM
Me next!! Me next!!

My Secret Santa was the wonderful Pinkdelia!!

Rest assured that everything was expertly wrapped. I took those pictures as soon as the package arrived. Now I can't find them. Moral: don't let your sister borrow your SD card. ha ha

Now, on with the show!!

Pinkdelia made me an awesome hat & scarf set in super colors! The bows on the hat are removable. Excuse the person modeling the fabulous hat & scarf. I've had a rough day.

And then... and then... there was this:

A Weeping Angel!!!

Thank you soooo much Pinkdelia! You are awesome!!

I received an amazing package from mthrasher138 today!!

First, well, everything! Wall hanging, hoopla, key chain, coaster, bookmark & candy!!

A scrapbook wall hanging. You can't see it here, but the sheet music that makes up the background is for "Follow the Yellow Brick Road."

Hoopla of "Are you a good witch or a bad witch?" I contemplated doing this one as well only my embroidery skills are no where near as awesome as mthrasher138's.

Then we have the cutest flying monkey coaster & a "There's no place like home" key chain (as you can see it is already on in use with the one key I possess which is for my truck).

Thank you soooo very much mthrasher138! I absolutely adore everything!! Now to go hang my new pieces.  Grin

I received an awesome box from LovelyMiss!!

The whole shebang:

Inkjet Shrinky Dinks back there. And dimensional Mardi Gras stickers! (I <3 New Orleans)

Great fabric cuts.

Embroidery floss

Glitter!! Oh and buckles and rocks and stuff. *giggle*

The best little whimseys. I got super excited & apparently made strange noises when I found the krewe doubloons.

Thank you sooooo very much LovelyMiss!! This really was a great box & I will definitely get a ton of use out of it.

P.S. I got excited about the containers, too!!  Grin

I received an amazing matchbox from Onyxnox today!

She went with my unicorn theme.

The detail is so awesome.

And stuffed full of fantastic goodies!

These great little clips and pendant were also in my package.

Thank you sooo much Onyxnox for sharing your awesome talent with me.

I'll also say that this gallery has made me feel my work is totally inadequate. There are some super talented & creative people in this swap.

I received the most ingenious matchbox from Monty today!!

Wow, this looks familiar.....

I wonder what happens when I pull the red tab?!

Holy bat crap, Captain Jack pops up!! (And the box looks like his beloved jacket!)

In case you didn't know, it is property of the Torchwood Institute.

And finally, it was packed with these goodies!

Thank you soooo much Monty! I would never in a million years thought to do something such as this. You are awesome!!

I received today from missmoppet!! This stuff is soooo totally me!

First up an amigurumi dachshund.

When the wiener met the wiener or what I like to call "This is why we can't have nice things." The crocheted wiener is fine. The pooping wiener is pissed. ha ha

And then... and then... and then... HOLY MACKEREL! It's a taxidermy amigurumi Nessie!

Isn't that the most adorable thing EVER!?!

Thank you sooooooooo very much missmoppet!! You're the best!

9  Re: WWP Roun 34 - Ostara Traditions GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by VegasZombie on: April 30, 2012 10:07:53 PM

The "box of assorted goodies" is actually a curio cabinet. I made it all myself.  Grin

I saw that you had one on your Pinterest & was at a loss for what to do.  I didn't stuff it full as I thought you might have some things you would want to add.

My apologies on the spell being late for Ostara, but I thought it might still be useful. =)

As for the ToL pendant... I know I made you one before, but the coloring on the chips made me think of spring. With the brown & green it reminded me of a tree coming back to life.

10  Re: Dia de los Muertos / Mexican Folk Art Swap GALLERY (send outs 5/30) in The Swap Gallery by VegasZombie on: June 05, 2011 01:20:48 PM
Due to her camera not cooperating, I am posting pictures of what I sent to humboldtcherry.   Wink

Virgen de Guadalupe candle with added sparkle. She had mentioned that she liked iconography.

Figurine - this was one of those wedding ones that I kind of had my way with. It was the first one I had ever done & I wasn't happy with the way the face turned out.  Undecided

Bracelet - deconstructed and reconstructed to be much nicer.

My poor attempt at a shrine. ha ha This was actually the second one I did as the first suffered a horrible fate. The sacred heart & skull are poly clay made by moi. The other items are actually jewelry bits. I also used entirely too much glitter paint.

Then there were these Virgen de Guadelupe dish towels.

I neglected to take a picture of it, but I also included a small packet of Mexican hot cocoa.  Smiley
