1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Monster Bag Swap Gallery! on: September 14, 2005 04:25:37 PM
I wasn't in this swap, but the bags are SO cute!  I'll make a bag for PpCakes if you need one.  It looks like fun!

Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth.  Work is starting (I teach) and a new semester of grad school, and I'm swamped!

Anyway, here is the picture of what I sent taloola (apologies for the background!):

It's a little hard to see the cat toy and the ball, but they are on the bandana.  Taloola, I still have to get a pic of my furry friends with their awesome stuff - I PROMISE I will round them up and take that ASAP!

Yay!  I'm so glad it got there and you liked it!  I will post pics tomorrow (of what I sent you AND the stuff you sent to me).  I have an all-day meeting at my school, so I'll try to get them up in the afternoon.

This swap was TOO fun!

Hey shuffar, I'm really glad you liked all your stuff.  I have to admit, though, that I can't take full credit for the tote bag.  I crocheted the yarn around the handles, but I bought the bag at Michael's.  I'm glad you liked the Remembrall - I am trying to perfect my lampworking technique!

This swap was awesome; Thanks, Meow!!!

Taloola is the BOMB!  She sent my furry friends the best swap package ever!  I have to wait until they're asleep so I can get all the stuff away from them and take a picture, but here's the list:
- a cork bone-shaped placemat embellished with handsewn buttons
- two braided towel "bones"
- a fuzzy stuffed bone
- a felt mouse stuffed with catnip
- a doggie kerchief
- a beautifully sewn doggie walking pouch (with loops so I can wear it on my belt or attach it to the leash) filled with treats
- doggie doody bags

My furry kids are totally thrilled, as am I!  Taloola, I just hope the stuff I'm sending you is as cool.  Pics soon - I promise!

I would also like to participate if there's a Round 2!

Woo hoo!  Shuffar sent me an awesome swap package!

She sent me:
- a Reading Rockz t-shirt
- a Reading Rockz book cover
- a Reading Rockz tote bag with AMAZING embroidery
- a blank journal that she covered by hand
- a copy of About a Boy

I'll try to post pics later, or you can post them if you have some.

Thank you SO much, Shuffar!

I'm in!  I've been taking a break from swapping during the grad school course from hell, but class is over next week!

10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! on: July 16, 2005 04:38:11 PM
What about a phoenix (the bird, not the city!)?  The symbolism of rebirth and rising out of the ashes would be really cool.
