62  Easter ice cream cone cupcakes! in Dessert by psychonmemphis on: April 11, 2009 09:43:46 PM
Well here they are and i am quite proud of them, i love baking for holidays even though i do not normally celebrate  this one.I took valentines day cake mix, white with red funfetti type sprinkles followed a tutorial i found online and here they are.I used pink icing then dipped the tops in green sprinkles for a grass like effect and lastly added "robins eggs" whoppers to make them look festive.Hope you enjoy.

Sides are droopy for a melting ice cream effect.

i have to take them with me so i wrapped them all pretty like

66  halloween cakes imade for a bake sale! in Dessert by psychonmemphis on: February 19, 2009 11:05:08 AM
The first one is a graveyard cake, i made the mix from scratch and the icing is store bought because i got lazy towards the end lol

1/4 cup Hershey's Cocoa or any Cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup hot water, divided
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
i used gummy skeletons and worms, white store bought icing and green food coloring, cupcakes for mounds, green suckers for trees, green sprinkles and black writing icing, totaled about $10 since i had flour and such.
the cat one i am not as proud of, i made the same chocolate cake and used chocolate store bought icing, black, green and pink writing icing total: $1 since i had everything from the first cake!

68  mardi gras beads? broken christmas ornament? in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by psychonmemphis on: February 19, 2009 10:37:44 AM
no before pic but my sis was throwing out this bag she got full of makeup at Christmas a few years back and i snagged it and one day while rummaging for crafting supplies around the house i found a broken red glitter tree ornament and it clicked!so it was plastic and i cut it into small pieces and started gluing, then i found a broken necklace piece (teal) and glued some big beads around the strap and there you have it, no sew easy peasy!
