1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / little nine patch girly quilt!! on: June 05, 2009 12:07:13 AM
I made this small quilt for my daughters, it can be used as a lap quilt but we are currently using it as a floor rug to disguise my girls' very blue bedroom carpet!!
I used lots of deliciously girly shades and the quirky fab camper van fabric by heather ross.

What do you think....Is it girly enough??

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / playfully pink quilts for my girls! on: May 28, 2009 11:58:47 PM
I made these quilt's recently for my girls.  I wanted to try out lots of different quilt blocks...log cabins, hexagons, scrappy-trips, crazy, picture blocks, stars, flying geese.........
I sashed them all up in pink and they got made just in time for my eldest daughter's birthday!!  It was also my first attempt at free motion quilting!  Though hopefully not the last!!!

3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / scrappy summer patchwork quilt! on: May 11, 2009 02:19:56 AM
I made this scrap as you go style quilt starting with an embroidery of mine in the centre, then adding patchworked borders until it was big enough.  I love the way the colours turned out and in the end it only took me just over a week to make!!  I like working like this as there's no pattern or cutting out involved and also I can use any size scraps in some way or other so it's a truly scrappy quilt!

There's more pics here:

4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / scraptastic coin quilt!! on: May 08, 2009 04:13:09 AM
This is what I made with all the leftovers from my quilting projects, lots of my scraps were strips so I decided to use them up in a coin quilt.  I've called this my Loose Change quilt.

I hand quilted the zig zags, which took about a week.  I love that crispy white next to all those colours.  There's more here,

As you can see it all came out right in the end, I love it!!!!
5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / dolly sized coin quilt! on: May 08, 2009 04:04:43 AM
I made this mini me dolly's sized quilt upon being told I had to by my daughter!  I understand, what is the point of having a mummy who sews all the time if you can't make things come your way every once in a while!!!!!!!
This only took about a day to make! which is my kind of project.

I even hand quilted it.  You can see more here,

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / easter chicky decorations!! on: March 30, 2009 01:13:50 PM
I made these little felty chicklets to hang up on twigs from the garden for a springy display.  They add a lovely shot of colour to any room.

I'm now ready for all any springy easter can bring!!!!
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / easter chicky bunting! on: March 28, 2009 08:50:35 AM
I hope you like my super chicky easter bunting, just what I need to get into the spring cleaning daffodil season, without too much cleaning obviously!

It was such super easy fun to make.  Just used some card, fabric scraps and felty pens.

9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Ciara's doggy! on: February 25, 2009 04:49:37 AM
This is the sequel to the bunny.  I'm going to have a felt animal house at this rate!  Doggy was a cute book project again.  Ciara managed to sew him but he did end up with thread wrapped legs so may have found it difficult to walk were he real!
