41  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: gemstones and other decorations with polyclay on: February 09, 2009 02:19:43 AM
Hello!  You're right, swarovskis are great inclusions.  I usually string them through a thin wire, twist, then insert into the clay. this way they have "roots".

Other inclusions I use are glass seed beads and swarovski flatbacks.

45  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hello from Manila on: February 08, 2009 07:12:30 AM
Hello!  I'm Angeli from Manila.  I love DIY, and I've been crafting all my life.  I recently discovered craftster through an etsy friend.

I work mostly with polymer clay, and I teach polymer clay workshops here in the Philippines.  When I'm not in my craft room tinkering with beads and clay, I work as a freelance writer and stylist.  I write craft projects and DIY articles for magazines.

I am also interested in home DIY projects, and I'm hoping to post tutorials soon.

I just love steampunk, trying to make some steampunk-inspired work.

Lovely winged creation you have there!  This watch movement is really something.

50  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / My first ever stoneware projects on: February 08, 2009 05:52:14 AM
I took a pottery class last December, and was able to make a few stuff.

Too bad the school closed already!  Now I'm looking for a pottery studio close to home, would love to continue creating.

These are crappy, but I love them, they're my first ceramics ever.
