81  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: My weird wild doll on: November 30, 2004 12:53:01 PM
That is so beautiful. I've never tried to make a doll before... to think that a pair of "snakeskin" pants could turn in to that. Amazing.
82  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My newest little clutch! on: November 30, 2004 12:34:09 PM
I've decided that I adore felt. It's so easy to work with, and it always has that cutsie little kid look.

I did this in about an hour one evening while I was watching Joan of Arcadia. Not bad, not bad.

My friend Lisa is begging for one for Christmas. I need a new theme for hers.

83  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help! Making 13 dwarf costumes; need instructions for beard-making! on: November 28, 2004 02:30:31 PM
I'll look in to it. May have to make Justin ( Wink) help me out. It's nice having cheap labor... All I have to do is keep him fed!
84  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Help! Making 13 dwarf costumes; need instructions for beard-making! on: November 27, 2004 06:42:23 PM
I'm going to be in The Hobbit, for children's theater. I signed up (gladly) to be on costume duty, as well as play a dwarf (I'm by no means masculine, but when 75% of your cast is female and there is only one female part, you have to settle). Unfortunatly, I realized today that there are a lot of costumes. It would be no trouble, but I have to make beards of various colors, all at least waist-length.

Do any of you have any ideas on what materials to use to make it look realistic (...enough to please 7 year-olds, that is)?
