For this swap we are crafting hair accessories.  This could be anything:  barettes, headbands, scrunchies, hats, fascinators, hair extentions, falls, combs, hair sticks, etc.  Really the sky is the limit!
Each person must craft at least 3 points worth of items.  Items can either be all 1 pt items or you could create one 3 point item.
You are also required to post in this thread at least once a week so we know you are still there.  Failure to do so will be noted in your feedback as poor communication.
If you have not heard from your partner in a week, please wait on sending your items until you have heard from your partner.
If you anticipate being late with your package DO NOT hesitate to let both ME and your PARTNER know when you plan to send out and keep us updated on your progress.

I was thinking of organizing a hair accessories swap i.e. barettes, headbands, fascinators and the like.  Anyone interested?

Made this for the Random Act of Kindess swap.  The white ribbon goes around the wrist and ties.  I used fabric glue but next time I think I'll actually sew it on. 

Ok so I've been playing around with some old tshirts of mine and doing different things with them.  This was originally going to be a necklace, but it was too big and didn't lay right Would have worked better as a choker but since I'd already sewn the beads on, I couldn't cut it.  So, not wanting to waste it, I decided a headband it would be!  I rather like it and plan on doing some more in different colors.  What do you think?  I also think it would make a nifty bracelet, with two or three of them stacked together.

The use of plexiglass to make a shield was a brilliant idea that I couldn't resist using in the one I made for my friend.  I included a few more items and left room for his Zombie Survival Guide.  I plan on trying my hand at a vampire kit and a Supernatural kit next.
It included Duct Tape, a mask,  gum, cyanide pills, a real machete, and a quick guide with tips.

I recently did the Make a Purse and fill it swap and choose to do the Amy Butler Blossom Bag for my partner.  It was my first time sewing a purse.  It's not perfect but I'm pretty proud of it.  I couldn't believe how well written the instructions were, it made things very easy to understand.




Please excuse the unsightly wall in my bathroom, we are in the process of renovating it.  ^.^'

One of the pockets on the inside was supposed to have a zipper closure but my sewing machine died before I could complete the purse and I had to finish it by hand.  Never having done a zipper on anything before, I didn't trust that my hand stitching would hold.  Thankfully I was 98 % done before my machine went down.
