Wow, wow, wow.  I didnt even know they made metallic paints.  I need to get out more apparently.  My living room is done in brown and blue.  I LOVE the carpet too. I'm going to have to research to find some.

Yes!! Hubby and I are building a tiny home and alas, Ill have to purge most of my "craft crap" as he calls it.  I was thinking I would have to build a little shed out back just for my craftiness, but now you've inspired me to make a pull out cabinet/craft area. THANK YOU!! Oh, I'm so happy. You are a GENIUS!!!!!
415  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: Tile in the living room? Opinion please on: February 07, 2009 12:20:46 AM
Actually, I lived in Mississippi a few years back, and the house I rented was completely tiled.  I thought it was really cool, especially on those hot summer days when it was 102 degrees with 200% humidity.  It looked sharp too.  Very modern, and very easy to clean.  They had used 12 in ceramic tiles, sage greenish with white grout.  I wish I had a picture, but it looked good.  It went very well with my faux suede tan couch and loveseat.  Well, theres my 2 cents. Hope that helped.

I keep a decorated broom (besom, whatever you prefer) above the doors in my house.  Each one is coordinated with the rooms theme.  I also have a cute little country witch on my front door that my mother in law got me. Its says "Welcome my pretties".

You could go with themed rooms and use the elements as inspiration, like:
Kitchen : Air (all the great smells that arise...)
Living Room: Earth (the center or core of the home)
Bathroom: Water (obvious reasons)
Bedroom: Fire (well, you know ::wink:: ::wink:Smiley

You could have a cluster of shelves on a wall, making on a subtle altar that non-pagans wouldn't really notice, but means something to you.

I can't really think of anything else right now.  But you've got my brain working.  Thanx for posting this, I'm curious to see what others say as well.

Good luck, blessed be
