Wow crafters.  Just, wow.  Such amazingness going on here.  

I'm so sorry I've been so quiet this whole swap. I'm normally in the thick of it all, but this has been a rough month.  

I want to thank our organizer for her patience and understanding with me!  Once I found that I was partnered with Pinkleo (OMG, the Pinkleo) I brainstormed my project to make sure I could live up to her crafting level- and then I was hospitalized with a UTI which normally would be no big deal except that I'm 4 months pregnant and my doctor thought it best I stay for FIVE DAYS!!  My crafting came to a halt.

A couple days after being released I began my project with the hopes of shipping a couple days late... then my puppy broke his arm and had to have surgery.  ::sigh:: this has not been a good few weeks.

BUT! I finished, I would've liked to add more detail, but at the risk of ruining it I decided less is more. I am shipping tomorrow and I received the most ADORABLE package from Pinkleo.  Straight of my pinterest:


Are those not the most incredible/adorable booties you've ever seen?  They are crocheted dragon scale rainbow booties. Hagrid says they bring good luck! I may need to make myself a matching pair!!

Again, thank you to everyone.  You all are so creative and skilled and patient and kind.

I received from haroldlovesmaude!!  Ok, first off, we agreed on extras and I was spoiled!  I got this awesome eyeglass case with 3D glasses painted on one side for 10, and a bow tie on the other for 11:

And best of all... TARDIS SOCKS!!!


Jealous?  YOU SHOULD BE!!  I've been wearing them since I opened the package.  I'll be spending Sunday at mandymo13's, so you can bet I'll be sticking my kick-ass feet in her face all during the Super Bowl!!

I'm going to take it to school and show my students.  I caught one of them grafitti'ng "bad wolf" in the bathroom and we bonded (after we talked about not defacing things).  Since then, they bring me other students who like Who, too.

I received yesterday from Eclectic Dreamer!  prepare for a photo dump... I got some amazing things.

Some fun extras!  Chocolates (almost all eaten already), a crochet bag, some cute Dollar Store Games and a crazy eights mini card set, and ADORABLE connect three game, a math dice game and a kokopelli needle book (this I'll have to hide form my mom, she LOVES kokopelli)



And now the brilliant stuff! (not that everything so far hasn't been awesome) She made this solitaire game.  It has it's own carrying case.  I think it'll be really be handy when I'm traveling and waiting at the airport.


And the COOLEST GAME EVER!  It's called Puka (or Pookah).  It looks a lot like the game Sorry! And look! She made the game board Harry Potter themed!! She says her family gets super competitive with this game, and that it can be really cut-throat!!

GAH!! I can't wait any longer!  Here is the package I sent to h-chan.   I paid close attention to her questionairre and on it she said she would like to recieve  a mini version of Ron's sweater, a cornish pixie, or a mini book of monsters, and that she is a Slytherin, and her favorite spell is Avada Kedavra.

So, I made this Slytherin crest out of polymer:

I was only going to do an Avada Kedavra ball, but then I thought, might as well do all the Unforgivable Curses:


Those might be my favorite.  They're so wicked and adorable at the same time.  I wasn't able to get to the Monster Book, but I did manage the sweater and the Pixie (he took the longest to make by far!)



I was at goodwill and they had green and silver balls, so I threw some in as extras and found this awesome chest that I knew would be exactly what a Slytherin would keep their ornaments in!  I painted it, crackled the edges and covered it with green snakeshin paper. 


I had lots of fun doing this one!! I think next year I'll do it again, only keep some for myself.  Thanks for a great swap everyone!!
