11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: This is the Season of Red! on: January 15, 2012 03:44:17 PM
Thank you guys so much!

Some of the flowers are for wearing as hair clips, the roses heart is a barrette, two smaller flowers will be with bobbies, and the roses on the ribbon can be used as a headband, but I prefer to use such pieces I make as belts.

Thank you again for watching!

Great ideas! Each piece looks cool and masculine!

Though it seems everyone (have to admit, me too Embarrassed) prefers to chek out the half-naked man pics  Grin
which are BTW cool as well!

The outside weather could have been better, but winter is the season of holidays, and this fact really increases the spirits. And this is also the reason why these days I'm into red so much! However, I make flowers of other colors too!

Just wanted to show you some of the last creations. Hope you'll have fun watching  Wink

this is a sash, which can however be used as a headband too, as the flowers are not big:

And I'm also getting ready for the Valentine's Day:

Of course, I'm dreaming of at least some snow this winter:

I know, it's so many pics, but it's been some time since I've posted, so got  a lot of stuff to show you. Thanks for watching!

Thank you!  Smiley

My grandparents were in clothing designing bussiness when they were younger, so I guess, I inherited that love for fabrics and sewing from them. Well, I make some clothes for myself, but I definitely lack the theory and practice  Sad  However, I thought, I could still explore my passion to sewing making accessories like fabric flowers. And it actually works! It safisfies my creative desire, it often helps when a special gift is needed, and for some time now it has even been increasing family budget!

So guys, when you love doing something, you should definitely give it a try!!

Thank you again for your kind words and reading all this philosophy of mine!  Wink

Thank you  Smiley

You are right-that's the best way to use fabric scraps, and the flowers will match the clothing!

Great job! I like the fabric. Seems like it is cotton or something. I wonder whether the edges could be singed, or it will be set on fire? Do you plan to use it as a hair flower or a brooch?
