I got my package from Jcorn today!!!

Seriously I got super spoiled in this swap from both my partners. Jcorn's package was super heavy and just filled to the brim with Stamps and embroidery and glass/mosiacs and other stuff! I was so happy and excited when I opened it!! What a generous and kind person you are to share with Jcorn, thank you very, very much! I will use it all and am sooooo excited about all of it.

Here is a picture of my goodies!!

And a picture from the other end so you can see all of it better!

The box seriously weighed like 10lbs! Between JCorn and Corduroy Cat I am in crafting heaven and will be busy for quite some time!

Thanks again Jcorn!

Awesome Thanks Jcorn, USPS hasn't sent me an email with the # yet tho maybe it will come later we don't do daylightsaving in Az so never sure what time it is elsewhere for people lol. I'll keep an eye out for it! Can't wait!!!

I did get my package from Corduroy Cat today tho, prepare for jealousy and uber spoilage!

This is the whole thing (my dinning table can seat 6 comfortably and I still had to stack some of the paper and roving up to get it all in one shot!

Here's some closer pics of some of the beads and bobs

Roving!!!!!!!!!! So pretty and so much!!!

Another different angle shot of most everything:

The pictures don't do this package justice as I had to pile a lot of stuff onto of other stuff to even get it to all fit on the table. Corduroy Cat you are a very generous lady and I am lucky to have been your partner! Thank you so much for everything I promise I will love it all and use it to make beautiful things!!

Seriously I was so happy and pleased with this package!! Now I have to really figure out something great to send you as a thank you!

Thanks again!

So I recieved my package today from Twonderland!

Thank you very much for everything Twonderland Smiley

Okay here is everything:

You can't really see it but on top of the botanical soapmaking kit is a giftcard to A.C. Moore. I looked them up on the web and will have to shop them online as their closest store according to their store locator on their website is Florida and I am in Arizona lol! So thank you Twonderland for introducing me to yet another craft store I like their website already!

Close up of the two bracelets on memorywire:

Close up of the necklaces (talented knotting Smiley These I think are made on hemp or jute cord with resin pendants, and a tree of life with beads, strung on ribbon )

Close up of the other bead and cord necklace:

Close up of the composition notebook (It is the cover of a composition notebook but inside instead of composition paper it is bound manila folders, I will probably use it as an altered art journal since the folders seem pretty sturdy. I tried to get a good pic of the inside of it but it came out pretty light in color sorry!)

Thank you very much Twonderland, I'll be sending your package out soon hope you like everything!

I received from TheSapphireMoon today! Which is a great start to my birthday weekend (my B-day is on Mother's day) and a wonderful break in between madly cleaning (My folks and Aunt and Uncle are coming from Maine to Arizona to visit me for the week for my b-day!). So timing could not have been more perfect and neither could the package! TheSapphireMoon really spoiled me, not only is she a nice lady but as you will see very generous!

Okay first everything... I had to fold the fabrics up and go stand across the room on the opposite couch to get everything in the picture! Many of the fabrics are huge pieces and the pictures do not do them justice they are gorgeous and she picked a great range from sheer and flowy to heavier home decor fabric, this will keep my machine zipping along for a while for sure!

The left side (which includes heavy pieces of scrapbooking paper, fabric, beads etc)

The Middle (An array of seed and glass beads, charms, jewelry findings, fabric and cords and chains, dominos and trim with beads). I adore, adore the charms they are so cute, a Mermaid, a seahorse, a Bee, The Eiffel Tower, Hearts and other assorted ones!

The right side (Fabric, appliques,a whole spool of jewelry chain, beautiful origami like paper, velvet cords for necklaces,  a baggie of cool stamps and german face cards, some of the beads)

Seriously my pictures do not do justice the amount of spoiling TheSapphireMoon did me, everything she sent was gorgeous and she was super generous. SapphireMoon if you have any better pics please feel free to post them my good camera didn't have batteries so I had to use my secondary camera and it didn't do so great.

I really loved everything, all of the fabric was exceptionally beautiful and the charms and buttons just made me want to sit down with them for hours! You did a fantastic job of pulling stuff to destash and giving it to me because I can say with absolute honesty I love it and will use every bit of it (and will think of how kind you were to share everytime I do!).

Thanks a million TheSapphireMoon, hopefully you'll like my thank-you gift as much as I loved this package!

5  Rainbows, buttons and beads - Oh My! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by SlyFox on: April 27, 2010 10:11:49 AM
Disclaimer: If your user name is Twonderland and we are partnered in a swap don't look at this!

I know I should wait until the swap is over but I had to share it as I loved how it came out!!

So here is my latest creation (in part inspired by The Sapphire Moon's button work found on a partner's wist, and my own love of rainbows)

It took me more than a couple hours (I think I did it over week while watching TV so I don't know exactly how long but easily many hours). It is made of buttons and beads. I don't get to keep it tho as I made it for someone else Smiley Hopefully they'll love it as much as I did!

Far away on the wall:

Hanging on the wall

Closer up on the floor

Close up to see some of the detail:

There will shortly be more pics and bigger ones on my blog Smiley There are now pics on my blog (see my signature for the link) that are bigger (click on them there) then what you can see here in case you are interested in the close up details of the different types of buttons and beads I used Smiley

I am considering going in with like colored seed beads to cover up the little spots between beads and buttons with color... not sure tho I already have spent a lot of time on this lol!

C&C always welcome

8  The Gnome stands alone in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by SlyFox on: April 09, 2010 01:19:27 PM
Here is a little gnome I did last night, it is my first attempt at a gnome. He is done on a page from a mickey mouse book and matted in white with a black frame I had lying around. Was hard to get a good picture because the glass in the frame kept reflecting my flash.

This is hanging on the wall and I tried taking the pic from a sideways angle but still got a little glare.

It's all free handed and was done on the fly with sharpies markers.

Inspired by the many gnomes I have been looking at lately around the net and the traditional gnome stories (like David the gnome) and of course my need for art work on my bare walls. He certainly isn't perfect but for drawing a gnome for the 1st time he isn't too bad. I like the thin black sharpy lines throughout the whole thing I think they add a certain interest and energy to the picture.

C&C welcome

Hi everyone! I got the Whimsy Lamp in the Mail today and wanted to thank Freestyle for it as well as post a picture of it!

Here are the contents of the Whimsy lamp as I know everyone was as curious as I was!

And a close up

Thanks sooooo much Freestyle this was an awesome round and you are a great organizer! I really love, love, love the Lamp and it will make me think of this round and all of you everytime I turn it on or off!

Thanks again also to Mamaphunk who was my great partner this round!

Hope you're all having a great week and I look forward to JOW VIII round!

PS. Thanks for wrapping it so carefully Freestyle it came through just fine, no breaks or cracks!!

10  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery, First Half 2010 in The Swap Gallery by SlyFox on: March 26, 2010 02:59:54 PM
So Lindyv321 and I had a personal swap and this is what she sent me!! I loved the package Lindy and everything was BEAUTIFUL! The only thing not pictured is a pink crystal suncatcher which I had already hung in one of my high up windows so I didn't get a picture of it (I am 5'2 on a big texas hair day so have to wait for the tall guy to come home to get it down for me heh)

So here it is all:

The Whale (made by her daughter for me which is too sweet!!) and a jar of whimsies too!

Necklaces (the resin ones were made by Lindy and are sooo adorable and totally me!), Zombie Inchies (brilliant!!) and a pair of earrings  that were on my wist (look exactly like them)!

The Robot necklace (So Cute! His little arms and legs dangle perfectly when worn!)

The OMGosh cutest tin ever! The pic does not do it justice! I looove it and plan to keep it in my purse!:

And a starter kit to Felting which I have totally been dying to learn!!! I was so excited when I saw this! And some beautiful roving!! I have already begun playing with it too so fun!

I will have to wait for the tall guy to come home to get the crystal pendant down to take a picture unless you have one already Lindy? It was so pretty and I was so excited that I had him hang it as soon as I got it totally forgetting I'd need to take it down to get a pic Wink

Thanks so very, very much Lindy for making my first personal swap so fun and wonderful, I'd swap again with you anytime you're a great partner!
