for the bag base, i use pellon peltex heavyweight interfacing

for the zipper facing, i use an ultra-firm iron on interfacing, its thin and stiff

i'm working to get a pattern together for sale, its definitely been a work in process...

there's a bag pattern by amy butler, the weekend traveler, the idea is sorta the same, if you can master that bag then its not too far of a stretch to figure out the construction for my tote.

Made a new bag for myself! I plan to use it for the office! I think it transitions well to evening get-togethers as well.

The front features a sleeve (both sides), a heavy duty zipper running across the top of the bag, and 2 interior sleeve pockets to hold all my goodies. I made the interior pockets fairly wide and deep so i can easily drop small and large personal items in.

I also made 2 more using various other prints.

oh yea, pattern is a must, its not a commercial pattern or anything however, i had to create my own pattern from scratch.

the black is by michael miller and is called mud surf!

finally got around to making a couple everyday totes for my friends. i photographed all three together just for fun, it makes a pretty collage.

the bag i lined with heavyweight interfacing (i use the kind from pellon peltex), features a heavy duty plastic separating zipper on top, straps, plastic template base and metal hardware for front pockets. enjoy!

I just got around to making a new batch of overalls. I decided to get really quirky and chose really funky prints. I love how they came out! They are super zaney and fun and whimsical and cute and just tons of fun to look at!

overall in robert kaufman midnight snack, its got burgers and hot dogs and milkshakes and cupcakes! if i were a kid i would seriously salivate just wearing these




overall in r.k. sushi print! this one seriously makes me salivate. uni! the king of the sushi's! print even includes names of the sushi in english and japanese!



overall in red and blue peace sign print (i forget by who). very patriotic.



overall in pink and purple butterflies (i think by alexander henry). very girl and definitely tamer than the other prints.
