Prompt:  Battle Royale- Video Games
Team: Fandom
Project Name: Paragon/Renegade
Brief Description: In my favourite video game- Mass Effect- many of the choices Shepard (the main character) makes have the option to be either the diplomatic good guy or the wild, bad boy type. I always have a hard time deciding and so I often go with the paragon choices, but I saw this phrase on a t-shirt on pinterest once and I was like "woah! I need to make that!" haha! So I embroidered this quick for that battle royale! Sorry I forgot to take a picture before I framed it, so there is a glare.
Project Picture:

Prompt: Yahtzee
Team: Fandom
Project Name: 5 bibs
Brief Description: I mentioned recently that my bathroom is being renovated and I have a horrible time of relaxing when other people are doing work. Since I have no skills required to assist a plumber, I decided to use all that nervous energy to build up a bit of inventory for craft shows in the future. I made so many little things! But to fit the prompt, here are five bibs that I made.
Project Picture:

Prompt:  Flash Mob- Game of Life
Team: Fandom
Project Name: Collars
Brief Description: I freaking love Peter Pan collars. They are so cute it kills me! So I bought a pattern and cut it to a size small and made one about a year ago. Turns out I have a big neck and it didn't fit so had to wait to buy the pattern again when it was on sale and cut it to a large. Now these are a little big, but it is better than the alternative! I made these for myself in the hope that eventually I will have a job that will allow me to actually wear cute things to work and not just my stupid uniform every day!
Project Picture:

Prompt:  Hide and seek
Team: Fandom
Project Name: Green Doll dress
Brief Description: This is the first 18" doll dress that I have made and I had such a blast making it! I love sewing apparel, but I have too many clothes as is, so it was fun to make clothes for a little dolly! I know its a stretch to make this fit the prompt, but I would say this dress has made me take a second, third, and fourth look just to ogle at its cuteness. I don't know why I love making tiny clothes, but it may be my new thing!
Project Picture:

Prompt:  Solitaire
Team: Fandom
Project Name: Doll Dress 2
Brief Description: I made another one immediately after making the first one because I was having so much fun. I like the apron on this one because I used a decorative stitch on the waistband and I think that adds a lot.
Project Picture:

I made some more bibs that are fruits and veggies, and some that are animals, but I don't think even when I'm really reaching that those fit for the "pong" or "scrabble" prompts, so I guess I will have to save those as back ups for next month in case I don't have time to finish everything!

I can't believe it's already the 5th and I haven't posted anything yet! I feel like such a slacker! But I just started my new job on Monday, my birthday is this Sunday, my bathroom is being renovated so I have no bathtub or sink (and had no toilet for a few days), and my mom is visiting and having me watch her two crazy dogs for 3 weeks, so things are more hectic here than they ever were during the Summer games!

I am not sure I understand the concept of bounties. Is it just more computery-type involvement or is there more crafting involved? I don't like using the computer but I love those bonus points! Haha!

Bunny1kenobi- I love that tribal maxi skirt! That fabric is GORG! I need one!
Calliemae- I love the "not all who wander..." embroidery! My best friend has that tattooed on her foot and we went together to get it, so it always bring s back fond memories for me. Also I love that owl! It looks just like how I picture Hedwig while reading Harry Potter.
Roler- LOVE that patch! I may have to copy that. I have this idea that if I start making TM patches for all the prompts that I get stuck on I can make a little quilted blanket or something since I don't really carry bags and it will be awesomely nerd-tastic. I haven't really made many before so I love seeing your creative ideas beyond the basic tm patch! The colors are so vibrant and striking!
Ankhored- That is such a cool idea for a research project, and I'm happy to see you've joined in on the madness of the Nerd Battles/Games! That Fairy picture is so stinking cute! I would have loved that as a little girl because I was really into fairies! I love the bright colors of felt you used. The frame looks great with it too!

I have a couple little things made that I need to post pics of eventually, but I started a embroidery project that I am super excited about for the Battle Royale! It's nothing too involved, which is why I'm making an effort to actually fill up the space with fill stitches A la Ludi, because I always am so enamored with her work! Usually I am lazy and use crayons to fill in my spaces, but since this project is on black fabric that wont work! Spoiler Alert- it's based off of the game Mass Effect, so I hope there are some other fans of the game in the Nerd Battles to appreciate the joke! Haha!

Anyway, I gotta go prime my bathroom so that they can put walls back on my bathroom. I'm sure you'll get some pictures of this beautiful mess at some point! Haha!

Ludi- what kind of fill stitch is it that you use? I'm still relatively new to embroidery and your projects never cease to amaze me in that regard.

I've been crafting up a storm, but as I start work next week, I know this sort of crafty productivity is not sustainable. So, I'm going to save a half an hour of work on all my projects (since I have no more prompts this summer) and finish them all in September. I'm thinking ahead since I know I won't have as much time to craft this fall. Haha! Maybe it's cheating, but I just want to show you all what I've been working on!

Here it is folks! My final entries for this season of the Nerd Games! I've still got a research project in the works, but I'm not expecting to finish it before the end of the month. But here are my three remaining prompts!

Prompt:   August- Version 2.0
Team: Fandom!
Event: Craftology
Bonus Points: n/a
Project Name: Closet redo X2
Brief Description: I have submitted a couple of closet redos this season, but this is my favourite. This is the entry way closet, so it was a plain white with a bar to hang coats on. I don't know about any of you, but I am lazy, so I knew it was gonna need some hooks instead. I painted the closet mint green using leftover paint from my kitchen cabinets and then added nine hooks. I did break one drill bit and my triceps hurt for days, but I did it!
Project Picture:

Sorry that picture is not great, but it gets the point across

Prompt: Perseid Meteor Shower
Team: Fandom!
Event: Fabricology
Bonus Points: n/a
Project Name: Firefly Galaxy Hoop
Brief Description: For this hoop i sewed together a couple strips of different blue fabrics, then hand painted the fabric to try to make a galaxy print. Then I embroidered a quote from one of the best shows in the 'verse, Firefly, onto it. If you haven't seen it, Firefly is a western set in space. It's amazing. Go watch it now!
Project Picture:

AND NOW FOR THE LAST PROMPT OF THE SEASONNNNNNNNNN.... ba dada dun dun dun DAAAAAAAA!

Prompt: Team Spirit-Fandom
Team: Fandom!
Event: Fabricology
Bonus Points: +10 for team fandom
Project Name: Anti-possession hoop
Brief Description: I had a hard time deciding what to do for this prompt because I am a fan of so many things! I decided to go with a hoop of the anti-possession tattoo the boys have on supernatural. I totally want it as a tattoo myself, but people who don't know the show many judge me for having a flaming pentagram on my body. haha! As far as two reason why I am a part of the Supernatural fandom.... That's easy! 1. Dean 2. The Impala (I could keep going, but then I would just be listing everything on the show!)
