yoopidou: Yes I did thank you!

Quantumphysica: Thank you ! They're mostly just a crafty gift to be given. The HP one was a graduation gift and the other one is for a 21st birthday.

So before he left, the boy asked for wolf ear hat and fingerless gloves which of course I was happy to make

6. Wolfy hat

7. fingerless gloves

8. I also made him almost 200 Open When...cards. That was a LONG week

No, not at all: we welcome fellow crafters all year long. Smiley

Okay cool !
So here's some of the stuff that I made during the year. (Well, what I can remember anyway)

1. Floral Letters (3)
So I'm in a sorority and I made 3 of these for my big sister and two little sisters. I just did the first letter of their names and painted the wooden letters in their favorite colors and glued flowers in the same colors. I just didn't take pics of the other 2 letters.

2. HP paddle for my sorority sister (front and back are both oil paint)

3. Another paddle, for a 21st birthday. Piazza del Duomo (acrylic paint)

4. HP Chess
so I got the idea from another crafter on here, and I just thought it was really smart. I made it so it's Gryffindor/D.A vs Slytherin/Death Eaters. This pic just shows some of the characters I drew.

5. Jack Skellington puzzle-getting ready for Halloween already  Wink I'm putting together a Halloween care package for the boy and this is one of the things I've made him so far.

PHEW! A little pic heavy. Sorry guys but I'm super happy to be joining!

I did it ! I finally finished! I had tried to knit two socks at once, but it was too loose for me and it got too confusing so I knitted one, then the second one. (Definitely got the SSS  Tongue)

Anyways, here they are !

Class/Challenge/House Pride:~*Have a Drink in the Hog's Head*~
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Dutch Apple Wedges
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I made this to bring to my guy's house. The recipe says it serves 12 people, so I figured it would be enough to bring over to his house. It was shared between him and his 4 siblings. I wish I had a pic, but it was gone rather quickly  Cheesy
Project Picture

The recipe came from Better Crocker's Simply Dessert:

Dutch Apple Wedges (12 servings)

Crust
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine

Crumb Topping
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine

Apple Topping
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups thinly sliced peeled tart cooking apples

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. mix 1 cup flour and 1/3 cup sugar. With fork or pastry blendr, cut in 1/2 cup butter until crumbly. Press mixture evenly in bottom of ungreased 9-in round pan. Bake 25 mins. (OR, if you're like me, use store bought pie crust.)

2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix all Crumb Topping ingredients until crumbly; set aside.

3. In medium bowl, mix 1/3 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and the cinnamon. Stir in apples until coated. Spoon apple mixture over baked crust. (To not waste all that yummy apple topping, I threw the rest in there on top of the apples.) Sprinkle with Crumb Topping.

4. Bake about 30 mins or until topping is light brown and apples are tender. Cool 30 mins before serving.

Project Name:Valentine's Day Card
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I feel like besides my knitty crafts, my "signature craft" would be cards so I whipped up this simple Valentine's Day card to send to the guy. I tried to make it not so girly.

I hope he doesn't mind...

So the guy came home during the holiday and forgot to bring gloves. What's a girl to do? Whip some up for him! This is the first time I've ever knitted anything that wasn't a hat or a scarf. It was kinda hard! I didn't really understand the pattern lol but once I finally got it and made one hand, the second hand was much easier.

Here it is! My first set of gloves ever made! Also, first craft of 2014  Cheesy Cheesy

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Detention in the Dungeons
House: Gryffindor!
Project Name: Coil bowl
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: So I made this in my ceramics class, the clay we used was porcelain. I'm not very good on the wheel, so I thought I'd make something by hand. I've always loved coils, so I decided to make a bowl made up of coils. The outside is painted with Stroke & Coat colors

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Reductor Curse
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Maiolica Mugs
Project Page Link
Brief Description: Another project was our maiolica pieces. It's basically red clay that's glazed with maiolica glaze then painted on before firing. I wanted to make little cups but that seemed rather boring, so I thought, why not interesting handles?
Project Pictures:

all almost 3" or 3"
