121  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Unfinished Crafts Need A New Home!! on: August 03, 2009 08:46:38 PM
My mom joined craftster last month because she is deeply jealous of the trading of ideas, and definately... of the swaps. She had an idea that she was too shy to post, so I told her I would feel everyone out for ideas.
What about an unfinished project swap? We can swap half done blankets, collections of granny squares, quilt squares, if you can ship it, we can swap it! We also send the supplies needed to finish the craft. She thought of this because she has quite a few LARGE granny squares that she has that she was working on when she was going through a divorce with my dad. Years later, they don't have the same meaning, but she can't bear to take them apart because of all the hard work she put into them.
122  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Oraganizer Feedback on: July 17, 2009 07:56:59 PM

123  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Gilmore Girls Swap on: July 12, 2009 07:58:28 PM

124  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Are you ready for some football? on: July 05, 2009 11:47:35 PM
Football season is almost among us! My husband is a football junkie, and I am following in his footsteps. How about a football swap? We could craft stuff for each other's sig. others, or in the case where the craftster themself(mememe) has a favorite team, we could craft for them. I will organize if enough people are interested.

126  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Swap Guilt- My partner is more talented than me! on: June 29, 2009 06:00:38 PM
Have recieved 2 swap packages now, and feel guilt because my swap partners are more crafty and amazing than me!! Does anyone else feel this guilt? Or do I need to get out of swaps? Lol. I love swaps, don't want to get out, and I know I'm thrilled about my crafts while I'm making them, but when I get my partner's box, I'm just like... "Oh my gosh, this is awesmazing!!"
127  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Want to get out of a swap, BEFORE signups are over on: June 27, 2009 02:57:32 PM
If I sent in a questionaire for a swap a few days ago, -its not in my feedback yet and I haven't got confirmation from the organizer that they got my questionaire, and the signups are not over yet. If something comes up, can I ask to get out of the swap prior to signups finishing, or is that a phopa or something that will give me a negative feedback?
128  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Playhouse Disney Swap on: June 25, 2009 08:22:02 PM
I know there are always disney swaps, but what about a playhouse disney swap? Like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Bunnytown, Ooh and Aah, Choo Choo Soul, Happy Monster Band, Teach my Alligator Manners, Imagination Movers.. etc.. http://tv.disney.go.com/playhouse/allshows/
I can't count on all my finger and toes the mornings when I'm running late for work, or trying to get dinner in the crockpot, that these shows have saved my sanity, and my daughter's patience! And, I like them all as well. Another thing is, Lily-Anne's favorite show is Handy Manny, but all the clothes we can find for it are so boyish. No problems here dressing her in all blue/green, but with her short hair, people can still mistake her for a boy if we take her out in her Handy Manny clothes! I think it would be a lot of fun to make some stuff for kids (or adults! come on they have My Friends Tigger and Pooh) centered completely around Playhouse Disney shows.
I will totally organize if we do this swap in the fall because I want to get some more swaps under my belt before I take on organizer. But if someone else wants to organize it sooner, I will help in any way I can!
129  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Top Hat Hairclip on: June 23, 2009 06:17:45 AM
For the Quick and Easy Senders Choice swap, I made a couple of hairclips for kitschkween inspired by some of her Etsy favs. I was so afraid they were going to be a little over the top, and she wouldn't like them, but she wore the tophat to work last night! Here are some pics of the clips I made, and the action shots she posted.

130  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Toddler Nap Pillow on: June 21, 2009 04:01:59 PM
Okay, so this probably should go under some kind of category like "So Easy a Caveman Could Do It" but this is the first time I've used a sewing machine,  so I'm posting it!  Cheesy
We have hardwood floors and my daughter is always pulling blankets off the couch to lay on on the floor with when she feels like chilling out for a few minutes. So I thought I would like to make her a pillow for the floor.

All I used was 2 pillowsham cases, and 2 pillows. I had to sew one of the the cases so it was 3 inches thinner because the pillow was a little narrow, Thats where the flap came from. Then I just sewed the 2 pillow cases together, inserted pillows, tied the ends, and viola!
She was chilling out on it until I grabbed the camera, then she started dragging it all over the place!
