1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Coraline Garden Card on: April 17, 2009 08:55:49 PM
This is a card I made for the Coraline swap.  Smiley

The front is the gate to Coraline's garden in the other world.

I just realized the silver on the moon isn't as bright. I originally wanted to cut out an actual gate (the spaces in b/w the bars) so that it would look more realistic, but I had trouble making it look neat, so I decided to keep it simple. I'm thinking of doing a another version of this card for a friend =]

Button-Key Locket

Hello Smiley
This is another necklace I made for the Coraline swap. This one is made using an antique style key and a metal locket. It's reversible, and there are pictures of Coraline's mother and father inside. (sorry for blurriness, it was taken on a camera phone)...

and here's the little box I made for it...

Thank you for looking!
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Other Mother jewelry box (Coraline) on: April 17, 2009 07:38:46 PM
Other Mother Jewelry Box

I had no idea what category this belonged in, but this is a jewelry box I made for my swap partner.
It's supposed to resemble the Other Mother's box from the movie, but I accidentally cut some pieces the wrong size, and ended up adding the white clay around the edges...for a creepy bone-like effect. The inside is lined with red velvet fabric, and the drawer is decoupaged with tissue paper.

It didn't turn out quite as I had expected, but I'm proud of myself for actually finishing it, b/c I have a hard time finishing a project before starting on something new...

Thanks for looking! Criticisms are welcome Smiley

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Coraline "Seeing-stone" necklace on: April 17, 2009 07:10:09 PM
This is a seeing-stone necklace I made for the Coraline swap. I painted it orange & gold instead of the green-ish color seen in the movie, b/c it's my swap partner's favorite color  Wink

I also made a different version in green for myself & a bracelet for my little sister. I'll post those pics here soon...^_^
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Coraline doll =] on: April 17, 2009 06:57:10 PM
Hello Smiley

I'm kinda a newbie on craftster, and this is my 1st post.
I made this cloth doll for the Coraline swap. I don't own a sewing machine, and I'm a beginner at hand-sewing, so this took me forever! lol...I'm pretty happy with how she turned out, but looking at it now...I see some changes I could have made. I tried to dye the cloth with tea, but failed...which is why she looks a bit ghost-like...

Anywho...this is also my very 1st dolly, and now that she's gone away, I think I'll make another for myself too Tongue
