1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Junker Jane Swap NBC dolls on: February 12, 2013 09:44:17 AM
These are not really playthings, but made these for bambam91 for her first swap. I stalked and saw she liked Nightmare Before Christmas, so I dediced I wanted to do the  Jack Skellington. My nephew put on the movie for me so I could get a sense of the feel of the movie.

Inspiration

I hand sewed all the pieces and dyed with acrylic paint. Used pipe cleaners for the limbs and melted the felty part for Jacks hands and toes. I twisted yarn around Sally's limbs and went to town on colors.

Here is the happy couple.

And a close up of Jack's bat tie. The sparkly eyes are just straight pins I had holding it in place and decided I liked the look.  Wink

Here is a group shot.

OK, so I've never done arigarumi but decided with a very thin thread I may be able to pull off zero.

and the trial doll I sent to AuntiKar for the BBW swap as an extra.

I had so much fun with this swap, but it took FFOOORRRREEEVVER to get to its destination.

Sally was holding a rose but didn't get a pic I guess.

ETA: Here is a link to bambam's post with her pics.

2  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / New links in body of topic posts on: January 18, 2013 09:12:47 AM
I see we know have underlined links in the body of the texts. If we upgrade will they still be there. Right now I am a friend, but the ads already slow me down and these new links based on key words are distracting.
3  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 81 ENTRIES / Mark Monsanto BABOC inspired entry on: December 10, 2012 11:55:50 AM
This is inspired by Mark Montano's Big Ass Book of Crafts #2. He had a three tiered necklace using chains. So I decided since I crochet, I could do this with yarn.

Sorry this is sideways. This is a set of fingerless gloves and the yoyo necklace, Inspired by the yoyoalong.

Still needs something? Right?

Bows. LOL, a little girlish.

This is for my partner in BBW swap and tracking says she is receiving today. Maybe she will not see this until after she receives.

I did one with marker dyed doily thread, but the shots didn't do it justice. But that was a fun experience anyway.

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Confetti Bag for Be Awsome Swap on: July 04, 2010 03:04:23 PM
This was for my partner Beeker.

This is the front laying in my craft chest. Basically background fabric, various bits and pieces of 'confetti' and then vinyl sewn over. This was in a book of making Singer Accessories, will get title if needed. There is a new pencil case on here recently.

Here is the back or maybe the front. I have a button closure, and I can't remember, but check out the Be Awesome Swap Gallery for the most awesome stuff.
