Love them both, but the bright colors in the first one grabs you.

Thanks for all the compliments. Tate is very flattered and glad to be part of the craftster poppet clan.

And lovesclutter - your first poppet is adorable! I've been making dolls for several years now, and believe me, the first ones were quite a mess, so please don't think any less of your skills or your poppet! She's beautiful and one of a kind and full of character!

Thank you angelcallie. I loved Tate, and now I am thinking of fixing "Diamond" and adding the little black dress. I love that you made all the outfilts, so I will try and find regular poppet dresses to make. You rocked that one out. (Yes, I'm an AI fan)

Eliea: THANK YOU for posting all the fabric options in one area. I knew the fabric I used made it more difficult, and now I have one (bookmarked page) that I can refer to when I have those fabric questions. Love it. You have the best ability to use craftster to answer questions. I would like to know how you multiple quoted?Huh

Thanks.

Sugary Sweet, I love all of the suggestions, and will go with Diamond, only because it is very much a diamond in the rough.  Smiley I will work on the hair later, baby sis says to keep the raffia, but I believe blond with a basic black dress is what she needs.

Just got in to read all of the wonderful replies, and love the new poppet. I didn't catch the name before I hit reply. That is how a first should look.

Wonderful wedding today on a riverboat and a 1 1/2 hour cruise down the river. So romantic. Celtic knot-fasting ceremony which I have never seen before.

Lovely chair to start with, but we can't see the stains from here.Your after is amazing and you are brave to take this on. Great Work.

NICE work and your son is adorable. I just did mine, but still not as organized, and I"m jealous of the buttons. Enjoy your new space. I hope it inspires you daily.

Thanks to sugary sweet, I will have the supply I need most. You are sweet. Would you be so kind as to name my poppet please? I will be adding real hair, probably blond because I have yarn that color. I'll post after redo.

Eliea, I don't have any money to buy some of the things needed, like the 8" needle or eyes, but always will make do until I find a job. I have enough fabric to re-do the head, but I probably will leave it to remind me. The first thing I made on the machine is still hanging on the kitchen back door, and it was bad too. LOL I appreciate all the help, and I am randomly jumping from page to page to see the differences in approach to the poppets.

Ghilie is the reason I became a friend as well, but your posts are equally just as informative, especially about searching. I don't think you come off bossy. Just 'experienced'.

OK, but I really think she is horrible

If you crafters weren't so nice, I would never show this. But I have another pattern already on the freezer paper waiting on a (better) fabric choice.

Have a wedding wall hanging to finish first. Big day tomorrow for a sweet fairy.
