5471  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Repurposed toys/baby stuff? on: April 29, 2009 04:16:14 PM
I read every page of posts on this forum, so this is the best place to start. Just take them all apart, wash and dry all materials, and make new stuffies. Make sure that nothing contains lead.

Thanks marypoppins,

When she picked up her stuff, she said to get rid of the rest, so it was really more of a rhetorical question. I'm slowing getting rid of things on Craigslist for awhile. I actually went through the  clothes and some of them were mine that I stored at her house when I lived with her. Too funny. We are a pay it forward family. LOL

Thanks for responding. I didn't think anyone would.

I love this one and want to make one soon

it is a free pattern and depending on what scale you make it and how full you stuff it, it could be huggable.

You did such a great job on her!  I love her pretty dress.

Thank you so much. I'm glad I have a crappy camera, so all the little details where I messed up can't really be seen.  Cheesy

I love the fabric that you used for her...
is it a printed stretch knit or alova suede (can you even get printed alova suede)?
Smiley

Averyg

She is some type of thin cottony fabric that has no stretch whatsoever, and was very slippery. Hence her name Patience. I still have some alova, maybe for her new sister.

Can they be made from microsuede?

I just saw your two girls playing in the yard. They are so pretty.

I love the hair so much, and I'm sure it was time consuming, and you did a very good job. She is definitely feminine. She should be dressed in lingerie. Smiley

The freckles are great. Thanks for the pictures, just more inspiration. I love the two of them together.

Wow, your no 3 totally rocks. I just posted my third, and nothing to compare. I love the outfits, and the whimsy your dolls have. Excellent and beautiful.
