Thanks for telling me Cheeco; I found the owl hiding in the tissue paper!  (Good thing I did a lousy job cleaning the house this week Undecided)  I revised my post to include him.  He's already on my keys!

You made Zoidberg with NO PATTERN?!?!  Now, I'm even more impressed!

My package from the incredibly talented Cheeco was soooo awesome!  She spoiled me so much and did a great job stalking me!   Cheesy  Cheeco, if you have better pics, please feel free to post them!

A tote bag of my favorite game, ever: Tetris!

She lined the inside with my favorite color (gray), and the multicolored thread on the stitching is adorable!

She made me a crocheted Zoidberg!  I love Futurama, and he is my favorite!  I can't believe all of the detail she put into him!

Here is Zoidberg from another angle, stealing my bag!

Straight from my wist, Love Slugs!  She made them from clay and hand-painted them in my favorite colors.
 back view:

I discovered this hiding in the tissue paper:  an owl keychain hand-painted on clay!  I love it; it's so adorable!

Tetris magnets!  I play with them everyday.  They are on my door, so they are the first thing I see when I walk in the door, which brings a smile to my face!

I told you I was spoiled!  She even spoiled my dogs!  She knew they like to play tug of war, so she made them a toy!  My puppy claimed it first:

Cheeco, thank you, thank you, thank you soooo much!  You spoiled me, and I am in awe of you talent!  You cheered me up and made my first swap a really great experience!   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I just received my package today!  I'm soooo happy with it!  I can't wait to post pics!  My husband "put away" the camera charger, so I have to find it, wherever it is hiding!    Cheesy

I hope you feel better, edenkitty!  I was sick last week (though not as bad  Sad) and couldn't do much, so I totally sympathize!  Not being able to craft is the worst!   Sad

The world does need more Muppets!    Cheesy
29  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Another PMC Pea Pod - my first PMC thing, so.. HELP! on: May 05, 2009 02:49:36 AM
Hi, I'm totally new to PMC, but I have been reading a lot of books and tutorials about it, in hopes of starting it soon!  So, I hope I can help a little, but I'm sure the experts here will be able to help you more!     Tongue

The peapod is really cute! What did you use to sand it?  I thought this site had good instructions on getting a smooth and shiny finish using sand paper:  http://www.clay-king.com/pmcinfo.htm#61

To get a more matte finish, I think people use a fine brass brush for burnishing (with soap and water).  Polishing cloths should get rid of burnishing marks.

After burnishing, if you want a more antique-look, they use a patina, such as liver of sulfur or silver black.  Metal Clay Supply has a really well organized website with all of the tools you need.  Here is a link to their section on finishing: http://www.metalclaysupplystore.com/catalogs/index.asp?category=300867&count=1

I hope this is helped!  I'm sure people on here have better tips/tricks that they have tried!   Cheesy

I'm good with the send out date being extended, too.  More time to order supplies!   Smiley
