1  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Building small tanks for bugs and fish on: February 06, 2009 06:57:40 AM
My hubby made a  tank a few years ago with plexi glass, he used aquarium glue. His was 120 gallons so it was pretty thick plexi glass and he used screws. I'm sure the glue alone would hold it if you are not using water, but should be safe for you animals if it is for the fish.

I'm an owl freak too! Absolutely love this owl! I would love to know if anyone has ever seen left handed patterns? I'm self taught, I can crochet any circular or fillet by just looking at it. But something this fantastic would deserve a pattern.
Kudos!

Great post! You had me laughing so hard! Great story about what we will do for our pets! My Chi is still too small to do that much damage to a stuffed animal....but in time, I'm sure she will.

Thanks for the laugh!
9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Flannel shrinkage on: January 30, 2009 08:10:31 AM
BT is right on. Flannel shrinkage varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. I find the more you pay, the less it shrinks.

You could take it to a coin laundry, they have huge machines. I have done that for really big items.

I had the same problem as craftydeb. I think that they purchase designs from many digitizers. So, when one person doesn't have problems it might because it is from a different digitizer. I had one 3x3 design that was over 70,000 stitches.  Shocked
