Thanks everyone!

Actually I just followed a tutorial on youtube Smiley Just do a search there and you have a few options!

I followed the ThreadBanger tutorial. They give you a link to print off the pattern, but I just free handed mine. It was very simple!

I made Finn's hat, from Adventure Time! Haven't seen it? I highly recommend that you do!

That's Jake being a bra cop.

I plan on making more, so more pictures then! Took a couple hours, super easy :3
23  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Replacing a needle- Brother XL-5232 on: July 08, 2011 06:39:43 PM
Thank you VERY much! Smiley I will try this as soon as I can. My main fear was that if I pulled to hard, something might snap, but I guess I'll go find my pliers Wink
24  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Jumper/Pinafore on: July 05, 2011 03:45:09 PM

I spent the night before the Fourth of July making this little jumper, and then wore it the next day Smiley I think it came out really nice (especially considering all the mistakes I went through while making it!)

I love this fabric! This picture was taken in my bathroom, which yellows things out a bit. The fabric is really a light cream, rather than so yellow.

Please ignore the little wonky button! One of the things that still needs to be touched up Wink

The pattern called for gathering the waist of the skirt, but my thread kept breaking so I just used elastic! There is also a zipper in the back but it was impossible to get a decent back picture.

I've been dying to make fabric flowers lately, and I plan on sewing a few on here once I do Smiley

Tell me what you think!

Pattern can be found on Craftsters list of tutorials Smiley

Thanks guys! I picked the fabric up at Hobby Lobby and it was 30% off Smiley They always have such awesome sales!

I plan on making lots of these as gifts as soon as I get more flannel!

This is my first real clothing projects and Im proud of how they came out Smiley

Light blue cloud-print flannel, very comfy Smiley

Close up of the draw string, made of some fabric ribbons I had.

I think the pink paisley looks good against the light blue.

Tutorial I used:

Very fast, fun, and easy Smiley
27  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Replacing a needle- Brother XL-5232 on: June 23, 2011 04:44:17 PM
As said in the thread title I own a Brother Xl-5232, and I cannot replace the needle. I checked and followed the manual but it won't come out!

I've never had a problem with this machine (I'm not even sure how old it is, it was a gift, not new then, but in new-condition), and I've used on a few projects in the ppast, but I have yet to change the needle.

Basically I just can't get the old needle out :\ Could it simply be jammed and I need to pull harder? I didn't want to risk breaking it, so here I am asking first Wink

Please help if you can! Smiley

Thank you for the explanation! I did look up online how to do this, and I was worried Walmart wouldn't have any type of glazing material. Pretty sure I'll be able to find some Mod podge! Cheesy

Can't wait to try this out Smiley

Thank you!! Yes, I had five piggies in all Cheesy I'm going to have to get more and soon!

I also love the blue one and the bead with the dots. I don't know the proper name for those beads, but they have to be one of my favorite XD
