1  Re: Cute-n-Creepy Swap of Doom!! in The Swap Gallery by TilliEllie on: March 23, 2010 02:27:51 PM
And now (finally!) My ADORABLE package from Sushiluvzombie!!!!!!

This (perfectly perfect in every single way) plushie is named Archie! He came with his own snack and loves to hang out with me while I'm in the kitchen.

He also came with two little friends.. although I'm not sure if he's just keeping them around as a midnight snack.. Hmmm..

AND (as if all that stuff wasn't enough) my wonderful partner made me this:

Is this not the coolest thing you've ever seen?!?!

I was so lucky to have such an amazing partner. THANK YOU SUSHILUVZOMBIE!!!  Cheesy

2  Re: Make me something Fiber Made for the Cold months Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by TilliEllie on: October 14, 2009 02:58:17 PM
And now presenting the beautiful things Pixieval sent me:

Even though the swap requirement was one large item, Pixieval sent me one massive item and a whole bunch of goodies!

First of all, I hesitate to call what I recieved a "Snuggie" because it's larger, softer, full of love, and much more cuddly than any Snuggie I've ever seen. I know this is a terrible picture, but I put it in just to show how large it is - it totally covers my Twin size bed!

Did I mention it has gorgeous sleeves?!?

Here's a close up so you can see the yarn:

It's all my favorite colors!! Cheesy As the incredibly tactile person that I am, I only wish you could all feel how wonderful this yarn is! I would have posted pictures last night, but I couldn't detach myself from it! lol

I'm so happy!

And, as if what she sent wasn't enough, Pixieval stuffed the box with fabric scraps for my crazy quilts..

There's over 120 of them there!! ::squee::  Grin

Oh.. and did I mention she also sent some gloves because her extra got destroyed and she was afraid of not sending enough. (I know, she's completely crazy)

I seriously got the best partner ever. Thank you so much, Pixieval, for being so wonderful.  Kiss

xoxo

3  Mature - Some Very Risque Embroidery in Needlework: Completed Projects by TilliEllie on: May 12, 2009 03:04:53 PM
A couple of weeks ago I decided I was going to try my hand at embroidery again. I got out my little basket of floss and needles and hoops and here's what I ended up with... not your Grandmother's wall hangings.  Wink

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

4  Egg-ceptional Sugar Skull (IMG HEAVY) in CHALLENGE 38 ENTRIES by TilliEllie on: May 01, 2009 05:50:26 PM
Whoever thought Easter and Dia de los Muertos couldn't relate never met me. I've always wanted to try my hand at making sugar skulls, but never acctually got around to it - this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Using papier mache, paint, and glue (ALOT of glue, I'm not gonna lie Smiley) I created Lucy!

And here she is..

::squee:: I'm so pleased with her!

Here are her insides (although she wasn't pleased to have to bare it all for the world to see). I started with this great purple egg...

Her fab glowing eyes.. I used some vintage red beads..

And here are some side, back, and top views..

Hope you like her! Thanks for looking!

5  My Homage to Tom Baker's Doctor Who **Scarf PLUS Jelly Babies** in Crochet: Completed Projects by TilliEllie on: April 20, 2009 02:54:57 PM
I have a bit of a soft spot for Tom Baker's portrayal of Doctor Who.. and as such have always longed for his scarf - or at least a replica of one. I sat down a while back determined to make that a reality; I used the Season 12 pattern found here: http://www.doctorwhoscarf.com/ and then modified it. Of course, it's twice the size of me.. but that's what makes it so great!

And what homage to Tom Baker is complete without Jelly Babies?!? None, I tell you.

Cherry

Lime - you get two doses of him because he happens to be my favorite

Orange

Lemon

And.. a group shot!

Yay! Jelly Babies!

6  Crocheted Three-Headed Hydra Plush Toy in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by TilliEllie on: April 14, 2009 12:26:03 PM
I don't know about any of you but I remember back in the day when the WB11 used to have "Action Packed Saturday Night" with back-to-back Hercules and Xena episodes.. I loved Hercules! It was so hokey, but thats what made it so fab and the monsters were outrageous! I was watching some old episodes a few weeks back and it inspired me to make this three-headed Hydra toy - which I named Ginger.

Here she is on her miniature cliff surveying the land for her next victim..

I hope you adore her as much as I do!
