1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My first stuffed animal! Thumper (14") on: January 29, 2009 09:41:21 AM

This is the first stuffed animal I've ever made. I hand stitched it all because working with fur on a sewing machine made me want to break something. He's got weighted feet, 5 doll joints and little bells in his paws. I got the pattern from the freebies section of http://www.bearycheap.com/. I think I'd like to try my hand at designing one that's a bit more grotesque like the ones found at http://www.patriciawaller.com/en/images.html .  Does anyone have any advice for a novice? I was thinking about using Blender (http://www.blender.org/) and then unfolding the surfaces to create a pattern.
Thanks,
Jean-Paul
