1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas Figures II on: December 30, 2012 10:22:32 PM
I made some of these for my mother-in-law last year. This year I made some for my mom. New and improved! She didn't believe I made them, she thought I'd bought the ones for my mother-in-law as well. I'm pretty proud of them. I was thinking of making them for craft fair sales. Do you think they'd sell well? I'm thinking next year I might make one for each celebration (Cupid, Easter Bunny, etc).

I made them out of styrofoam balls, dowels, and paperclay. And paint and fabric and other do-dads of course.

I didn't take a picture, but I wrote on the angel's underwear area "you perv!" and on the other side "hey, what are you looking at?" I'm sure, one day, someone will find them, haha.

Thanks for looking Smiley

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidered Peacock on: April 22, 2011 09:15:03 PM
I made this for a recent swap (peacock themed)
I'm pretty proud of it since it's completely new to me. Near the end of it, I wanted to stab someone...or rip it apart with my face lol. But it was worth it...
I added melted felt circles and buttons for the tail details and felt flowery shapes to the background. Smiley

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Nutcrackers minus the nutcracking... on: January 06, 2011 07:40:29 PM

I made these for my mother-in-law for Christmas. They're made of foam balls with dowels stuck in, covered in paperclay and painted and fancied up. Smiley I'm pretty proud of how they turned out. Probably going to make more for next year (my mom tried to steal them, lol)

I got the idea from a book called Trimmings.
