21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Water Works on: July 22, 2010 02:24:10 PM
Some necklaces that were inspired by either rain or the ocean anyone else have to go to the loo? Wink

Ocean Treasure, a pendant I had in my stash that's now residing on silver chain with moon beads hanging just above it.  When I'm at the beach I always love looking for complete whole ones or the really really tiny ones.

Let it Rain because I love rain, I even put a grey bead on top to resemble a tiny dark cloud xD

Night in a bottle, not so much water works I know, but I thought of this while walking along the beach with my mom and sister.  So that's gotta count right?  Cheesy  I like to think of them as stars ^^ yes they are the same beads as on the sand dollar but hey they are multi task beads ;p

22  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Heart and wings these are a few of my favorite things! Picture heavy on: July 22, 2010 02:12:14 PM
So I've realized I haven't posted anything new on this side of the board in awhile and thought hey why not now, better late then never yes?  Some new pieces, i've kinda been on an antique old looking brass thing steampunky as of late, which has been fun and interesting!

Keyper of my Heart a correct anatomical human heart in a glass bottle, the heart is about the size of my pinky thumbnail made by me out of clay then cured, painted and sealed then put into this baby and jazzed up to make it look like the mad scientist specimen jars. XD

On a wing..funnest earrings to make EVER long earrings in general are fun to make but long steampunk style earrings are just awesome XD

Little Bird when I collected this pendant on my many journeys it screamed to be put on black sheer ribbon, and I just had to add the red bead I found in a jar of vintage jewelry

25  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Pattern find help on: June 29, 2010 05:30:00 PM
I'm going to take a moment from making something and ask a quick pattern question I remember seeing this pattern in a knitting book awhile back and for the life of me cannot remember what the book is called. The pattern itself was using the stockinette stitch with ribbing, the end result were these fingerless gloves that were a moss green with a white wool ribbing around the wrist and on the back of the hand was this little envelope that was orange. Does anyone remember what book it came from? Anything would help!I remember how cute the gloves were lol.  Anyone else read this book?
26  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Instruction Destruction on: June 28, 2010 06:51:28 PM
Hello Knitters maybe you can help me figure this pattern out.  I got it off of Ravelry for this small little satchel/bag and in the instructions after you knit 1 and 1 slip purlwise till the length you want it says "At this point you will separate the sides....each side will be on a separate needle you will work each side one at a time"  what does that even mean? I tried googling it and nothing came up.  I hope someone on here can help!

28  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / 1st time organizer panic on: May 27, 2010 02:24:19 PM
Hey everyone!

I just have a question for anyone (or all those swap organizer vets) who knows the answer.  I just started by first ever (yay!) swap, its only been 3 days since I've started it and there's still some time in sign ups anywho when I first originally posted the idea in the swap idea thread I got and I was wondering do I have to email the people who responded that I've opened up the swap or just let them come to it on their own?  Is that considered spamming?

30  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Mythology Inspired and Non Mythology inspired jewelry(pic heavy) on: May 06, 2010 05:11:12 PM
Well I'm finally getting around to posting these up.  Better late then never yes? I was totally on a mythology inspired craft cloud while making the majority of these.
Onward pictures!

Persephone's Promise

This is actually a bracelet I was asked to make that has flowers on some of the pieces.  I took the pieces from a broken piece of antique jewelry

And these are some rings I made from pendants that I bought awhile back.  They used to be darker but I rubbed the finish off of them and now they have this off tone gold look.  I like them Smiley Its great cuz I can wear them wherever on my fingers
