1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Some new patches on: January 10, 2015 05:08:29 PM
Here are some patches I drew with fabric markers. the first is for a lady that saw the purse I made for my friend (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=435630.msg5241584#msg5241584) and wanted a mermaid patch. It didn't turn out as good as the first one, but she said she'll find a use for it anyway.

the second is a patch I made for my best friend on his birthday. the creatures on it are Mr. Saturns from the computer game Earthbound, one of his favourites. the white lines are just chalk; they were there so I knew how big to draw the patch and got erased later, when I folded the edges under.

the third is a little patch I made for my boyfriend's guitar case.

Hope you like them!
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Wall drawings on: January 10, 2015 04:31:53 PM
A while ago I got to stay in a friend's trailer and he told me to do whatever I want with it, so I drew on the walls. I was going to colour the drawings, too, but I didn't get around to it, and the following year the trailer ended up being used for storage.

thanks for looking.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Skullface hairclip on: January 10, 2015 04:23:41 PM
I didn't make the rose itself, but I made the clay half-skull face in the center, glued it to a clip, and added some beads.

It's not as freakishly big as it looks in this picture, I think that was just a weird angle.

thanks for looking.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Purple and silver skirt on: January 10, 2015 04:14:03 PM
I made this skirt the year before last. Silk is a pain to sew, as I've discovered. It was also my first time doing darts-- I had spent hours sewing the skirt, only to discover it was slightly too big. Solution? Darts! though you can't see them in the pics, as they're in the back.

Sorry for the mess in the background! Hope you like it.
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Victorian skull notebook on: January 10, 2015 04:03:16 PM
I wanted to see if I could still remember how to make a Coptic stitch notebook, and this is what turned out! I obviously need a little practice, but not bad for the first time in about 8 years, I think. I drew the lady with pens and markers, and the border is done with fabric markers.

thanks for looking!
6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / CD Covers and Music Poster on: January 10, 2015 03:51:14 PM
My boyfriend plays music and sings and when he was putting out his CDs he asked me if I'd want to do the artwork for them. Which is awesome. Except after I drew the first picture, I put off the rest until last minute, which of course caused much panic and probably not the best artwork. But he said he loved it, so yay!

And this is a poster I made for him last winter, it took a while.

Hope you guys like these!
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / thistle lady on: January 10, 2015 03:31:44 PM
I drew this to trade a friend for her knitting me some arm warmers. I feel like I got the better side of the deal -- it wasn't until I was halfway through colouring this that I thought, "oh yeah, colour isn't really my forte." Damn. Oh well, she seemed to like it.

Sorry for the bad photo quality.
8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Decorated guitar on: September 11, 2014 02:54:57 PM
I was asked to decorate a guitar with some paint markers, here is the front:

and the back:

A friend of mine was holding it. I hope you like it.
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Patch on: September 11, 2014 02:48:47 PM
Here are two patches I made with fabric markers -- one is for a friend who likes Siouxie Sioux and whales and the second is for my boyfriend, who hopes one day to possess an army of pugs and call them all Banjo. Both pretty silly.

I hope you like it.
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Mermaid purse on: September 11, 2014 02:33:36 PM
I sewed this purse for my friend's birthday; I drew the patch with fabric markers. the colour layering was fun -- there are no peach coloured fabric markers (as far as I have seen) so I have to do a layer of red and brown and then white over that.

Hand-sewn because I'm afraid of sewing machines and I don't have electricity anyway.
