Sorry for the delay, I've now received ALL of my bookmarks, and they are SO fantastic!

From left to right:
We'll start off with Ransom's -gorgeous- quilted fabric bookmark. I LOVE the fabric and am jealous of your straight lines from the sewing machine!

Next are three(!) fabulous bookmarks from Jennieingram, the centre one being an Order of the Phoenix  bookmark complete with gold leafing! I love the other ones as well, it seems like there's always some new detail to be found in that print! These came with a very charming letter from Alastor Moody himself! How did he know how much I wanted to be in the Order of the Phoenix?!

Next are two gorgeous bookmarks from Chughes225, one is my name in chinese, such a gorgeous job papercutting, you must have so much patience!
Also of course Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, it's absolutely PERFECT!

And last but certainly not least my gorgeous crocheted one from Coryjo. Oh my! I absolutely love the pattern and ADORE the colours! I can't stop touching it, haha!

I love how widely different all of my bookmarks are, and yet how absolutely perfect each one is for me.
Thank you so much to my partners for being so thoughtful and of course to jennieingram for organising the swap!!

Sneaking in for a late-breaking update! I finally managed to snag a weekend when both of my nieces and I could get together and get our craft on!

I'm really glad I decided to wait and do it all together, I spread everything out infront of them and let them take turns picking out yarn until they were all gone, they had so much fun with this part and they totally picked different colours then I would have expected them too.

And let me tell you, doing the plating is SO much easier when you have three people!

The scarves turned out AMAZING! Both of the girls love love love them and I'm totally jealous, check them out!:

Sign me up for the next round, I want one of my own!!!

Holy cow, that thick scarf looks amazing and warm!

Also, hooray! I finally got the last of my packages in the mail today! Here's a bit of a catch up!

This group is from Shdwstrm, she also sent two Canadian magnets for me to give my nieces so they can know one of the places their yarn came from, how thoughtful!

This group came from Slingmomma, really gorgeous colours!

and last but not least,

This group is from Myklia!

I laid everything out to admire and drool over, I was a little bit worried there wouldn't be an "even" amount of colours to satisfy both of my nieces, but you wonderful swappers did such a great job!
Now I have to decide if I want to wait until my nieces and my own schedule meshes up that we can make these together, or if I lose my patience and just make the scarves for them as gifts!

Hooray! I got not one, but TWO yarn packages!!

First up from Craftyhsmom, I love love love all the sparklies and that crochet chain is a brilliant idea... as is the ricrac! I know my shiney and sparkly loving nieces will adore this selection!

And second from Alexus1325, isn't this a gorgeous gradient?! My nieces two favourite colours! I love the textures, some of them are so soft! They will look so beautiful... and ohmygoodness, your button collection must be drool worthy, I love the shades and shapes in what you included!

Thank you both so much!

Oh my goodness you guys! Guess what finally arrived in the mail(!)

Puzzler has wonderfully, generously agreed to be a swap angel for me and she totally spoiled me rotten!

The goodies included some beautiful red cloth napkins which are already on the table to be used,
some cloth pads with little cloth baggies to keep them in,
an amazing little bath puff knit from yarn that is sooo lovely, soft and squooshy!,
cheery yellow fruit/veggie bags of various sizes,
a grocery shopping list so I know what to get at the shops (and not spend extras on anything I don't need),
and a beautiful angel ornament,
and some lovely yarn I'm sure will go to good use!

And I LOVED the Cheerio cereal box it was all packed in! (So did my postie! He told me they were flat out trying to catch up delivering things due to the recent flooding here (thus the delay in it arriving) so seeing the box really put a smile on his face as well. Smiley

Thank you so very much puzzler for your generosity, I truly love everything!

8  Re: Embroidery Hoopla Round 2 Gallery! (SendOut 11/15/10) in The Swap Gallery by kanawinkie on: December 13, 2010 08:53:57 PM
I just received Etheren's hoop in the mail the other day and nearly squealed with glee when I saw it!

It's very similar to one she made for herself that I admired as soon as I saw it.

How gorgeous is that little spider?!

But what really makes it special to me is the very Charlotte's Web message hidden amongst her web; it reads "Luceo non uro" which is a bit of a personal motto of mine, it means "I shine, not burn"

Thank you so much Etheren, it also matches the hoop bambii8899 made for me in colours so they look great together!
