Great pattern.  I love the detail in the skull.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / My current project - Norwegian mittens from leftover yarn. on: February 03, 2009 02:12:22 PM
I want to knit a Lopi sweater for myself and was going through all my patterns.  In my quest for the perfect pattern  I ran across all the leftover yarn I have and all the yarn I have bought and never knitted anything from.  So I decided that I would have to use up all my scrap yarn before I could buy some more for my sweater.  I had 3 skins of black wool yarn and 3 of white.  Since we are a skiing family I thought why not knit some skiing mittens for us.  Here are the ones I am currently making for my boyfriend.

I made this for my son who will turn 11 tomorrow.  It is made out of Lopi (Icelandic wool).  I started out almost a year ago but shelved it for many months as I could not figure out how to do the pattern.

This is the back.

This looks really difficult.  You should be really proud that you finished it and I would definitely wear it, if it were mine.
