I've really been needing more plants in my house, so here is my first new planter ...

Before: Dollar General swan planter and hot pink spray paint ...

Mid-paint-job.

After: Swan flamingo planter, a very rare creature, the swamingo.

The swamingo planter.

Succulents in my swamingo.

Well that's my swamingo, one could say I am tickled pink about it.

5  Coat rack revamp. in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by trashytrashytrash on: May 01, 2011 03:10:31 PM

My boyfriends father gave me this rather ugly coat rack,
knowing I'd paint it or something,
and of course that's what I did.
It's pretty simple but
I am pretty happy with the way it turn out.

7  Love gone postal. Security envelope style. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by trashytrashytrash on: February 07, 2011 09:09:10 PM
I've been covering everything I can find with security envelopes these days.
These are wood beads.
Decoupaged with itty bitty strips of security envelopes.
Then painted.
And varnished.

At Christmas I got my lil' cousin a Barbie,
but after she got it out of the box,
I took the box, haha.
I decided to make a necklace.
Added a couple soda bottle beads.

I love to re-use security envelopes.
I made a few of these last year and sold them when I went and sold the Holiday CRAFTACULAR, in NYC.
This year I didn't go to NYC, but I made a few for my own tree and to give away to family as Christmas gifts ...
here are a couple of em'.
