My paintbrush from moniqueramsey, she's a lovely butterfly fairy. I love how adorned she is. Moniqueramsey made a great hanger for the brush, which I straightened out for the later pictures. Thank you!

The tongue was my boyfriend's idea! I told him I wanted to do something that feels Labyrinth-y and this was his idea. Glad you like it!

I'm lucky when it comes to cameras. I currently have a Cannon EOS Rebel XTi. My dad's a photographer, and I got his old camera when he got his two new ones.

The background is easy! It's a big sheet of white paper (the kind that comes on a roll) with the top part taped to the window and the bottom part taped to the desk. It's kept tight enough that it doesn't crease on the bottom. Normally, I'd use a desk lamp or two pointed at the piece, but last weekend I also got my dad's third oldest camera flash.

I'm very happy to have her for my plant. All of my plants are supposed to have buddies to keep them company (usually rock or ceramic animals), but I just realized that pot was previously empty and lonely! Not anymore!

And here is my wonderful fairy brush from artista83!

The colors and shimmery-ness are awesome! The colors are a little darker person. Here are a couple of close-ups.

The butterbee was made out of dried paint and it's position is pose-able. The fairy's face looks great.

There's not really a good way to hang her, so she's made her home among the plants in the craft room/office.

Thank you again artista83!

I love all the paintbrushes we've been seeing, especially the animals, especially that bird from teag! That's adorable.

And artista83, a lot of things can be baked with clay. It's just a general no-no to bake plastics due to toxins and melting. Even then, some people still bake it, but take extra precautions. You will soon see that yours made it into the oven... I stole the theme off of a previous swap so hopefully you still like it.

I just need to finish up a little bit of painting and then my paintbrushes are ready to go. I'll probably send out on Monday.

I have family visiting soon, so I won't be great about checking messages this weekend.
I've got my plans and paintbrushes, though, and hope to start crafting this afternoon.

If I end up with two for me and none for the boyfriend, that'll be okay too.

I've just got to finish off a Garfield stuffy for my dad and then I'm off to buy some paintbrushes!

What about rocks, marbles, fruits (oranges, apples, melons, etc.), people heads, animal heads, brains, planets, balloons...that's all I've got for now. These look wicked on the ears!
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Wee House Craftalong-Ongoing 2011 on: October 07, 2011 07:17:27 AM
Everyone's houses are looking great. I'm in the middle of a couple of other projects as well, just finished my boyfriend's mohawk hat and some paper roses. I'm still working on my flooring, but should be finishing that up this weekend. Then I'll be moving on to ceilings! I live in a historic part of town. It's giving me some ideas. The cool part is I didn't even get a strange look from one of the shop owners as I was staring up at her ceiling telling a friend "this is what I want in my dollhouse." (She also gave me some really awesome ideas for perserving and displaying mementos from my grandparents.)

On a negative note, I probably won't be able to post pictures for quite a while. My computer died (it was peaceful, in her sleep), and the backup laptop is not helpful. I'm still glancing at the site, but I'm really not a fan of laptops, so it's encouraging me to spent more time offline!
