31  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Shrug(and tutu) on: January 01, 2010 05:06:06 AM
Love it!  (and even though I'm definitely old enough to be your mom - I love the tutu, too!)
So, does the shrug make it 'legal' according to the school dress code?  Some fuddy-duddy administrators might frown at the "peeks" of skin front & back....  Just checking.

The school where I work keeps a laundry basket full of enormous sweatshirts to loan for the day for just such an occasion, but I think your outfit's adorable - and more so, 'cuz you made it yourself!
32  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: 12 beer glasses with glass etching of animal skeletons on: July 28, 2009 06:12:27 PM
WOW!   They turned out great!  I would never have thought of using the paint for a stencil medium - that was an excellent alternative to trying to cut all those teeny details from contact paper!  Love these!
33  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Ugly Bugs on: July 25, 2009 11:06:34 AM

I think they're fabulous!  (and I'm not just saying that because my eight-year-old is drooling over my shoulder saying, 'mum, let's try to make some bugs' -- he's in a bug-obsessed place this summer - I'm constantly fishing bug catchers and jars with holes poked in the lids out of odd places!  These bugs are 'way wonderful!
34  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Re: Bobo the Benevolent Scrap Monster... My first weaving! on: July 20, 2009 05:34:09 PM
Bobo is ADORABLE!!!!   (adds looking for my childhood loom in mom's attic to to-do list)  I love all the colors, and you made his li'l eyes so cute!
35  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: "When life hands you lemons..." or when your working with a mirror and break it! on: July 20, 2009 04:10:39 PM
Shhhhh!   Wink  Don't tell them you didn't do it on purpose!  Wink  This is 'way more interesting than a plain oval mirror, anyway.  Love the combination of mirror pieces, stained glass & polyclay.
36  COOKING / Dessert / Burger & Fries Dessert - Inspired by Skyy Angel's July 4th post! on: July 20, 2009 12:17:52 PM
 Cheesy
Hi, all - this is my first "project" post, so I hope I don't mess it up.

My ten year old was lurking over my shoulder when I saw Skyy Angel's 4th of July post about the burgers-n-fries, well, cupcakes & brownies & sugar cookies...

So, nothing would do but that I make that for him for the occasion of his 11th birthday party!  We're very pleased with how they came out... I posted pictures in the "member's gallery" section.

The kids thought they were great -- some of the grownups thought they were a little strange, but everyone thought they were cute!

(sorry, rotationally challenged)

37  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Corseted Film Strip Jar Candle Holder on: June 17, 2009 05:53:55 AM
How Cool!  I knew there was a reason I was saving all those old negatives.... now, where did I put them? . . . . .
38  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: I need your help decorating my camper! on: June 16, 2009 01:54:39 PM
Looks to me like this is a classic Scotty trailer -- original color would have been white on top, all that lovely silver aluminum trim, and a turquoise/aqua blue on the bottom -- DH and I had a 1970 vintage one for a while, and it was a blast restoring it!  Then, we traded "up" for something a bit bigger when we started having little ones...

Though the cherry red theme sounds very cool, too -- whatever color you end up painting it, when you get to campgrounds, be ready for folks to want to "peek inside" - there's a lot of people out there who remember the older campers fondly!

Have fun!
39  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Newest portrait--my little sister! (In blue) on: April 26, 2009 08:48:23 AM
These are wonderful!  Don't forget to do a self-portrait!
40  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: elephant no 2! on: April 17, 2009 04:07:24 AM
Absolutely precious! Have you read any of the "Elmer the Elephant" children's books?  I don't remember the author, but that's who your two elephants remind me of - Elmer was a colorful elephant, as opposed to a plain gray one.   Smiley
