1  Re: One Tiny Thing 22 (OTT 22) Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Persephone Hazard on: July 24, 2009 04:48:55 AM
So today I took two photos of my lovely OTT from Belladune that looked good on the camera. I now discover, of course, that they are both a bit blurry, neither of them get the colour quite right, and they are, inevitably, both still sideways.

Um, fail.

My OTT, however, is *not* fail. It is FELTED SOAP and it is PINK and it has an AMPERSAND on it. What more could a girl want?

I'm panicking now. I have no idea what an orifice hook is for! I clearly fail at being a spinster and should be using an orifice hook for...something? Argh! That aside, though, I come bearing photographs - my camera has deigned to return from its Big Adventure. I'm not quite sure why its chosen holiday destination was the cat's bed under a blanket, but there you go.

MLF sent me awesomenessesses. Obviously.

This yarn was so squidgy and nice like this that it was a couple of days before I undid it and took a look at the whole skein. Which was a dreadful oversight on my part because

it turned out to be HUGE. Like, massive huge. I have no idea quite *how* huge, but it is *huge*.

and there were wool tops of great greeniousity

and green and poiple, in fact :-D

also much powder dye of powdery dyeness!

And here's a group shot. Because I liked how it looked all piled up together in a big, fibrey heap.

Swapping with Cyndi is every bit as lovely as I knew it would be :-)

Oh god damn it, I wasn't going to reserve a post but now I feel left out. So I guess I'll join the cool kids [grin]

My fabulous package from Rain arrived today (I got TWO swap packages today, win!) so without further ado...

THAT'S SO MANY BEADS. DO YOU SEE HOW MANY BEADS THAT IS? DUDE, THAT'S A WHOLE LOT OF BEADS. LOOK!

But ahaha! Beads is not all!

yarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn.

Super catnippy cat toys! I'll try to get some action shots later. I bet they'll go bonkers :-)

Uh, there were three of those packets of Reese's. I shall leave it to the reader to ascertain why the other two aren't in the photo [blush] Included a shot of the card because I ADORE all things Pre-Raphelite, not that Rain knew that, so it gave me a happy :-)

Thank you so much, Rain!

5  Re: Easy Peasy 2 Swap Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by Persephone Hazard on: June 04, 2009 06:02:27 AM
OK, here goes :-) If you have better pictures of anything, Annchen, please do feel free to post them. Today has been a fabulous day - TWO swap packages arrived *and* it's an election day - SCORE! Annchen, I hope you're voting too, over in Sweden [grin] (It's the European Union elections today.)

Everything arrived in an envelope that was a very cool shade of green and had a clue written on it - the days of the week translated from Swedish.

Inside, I found a little knitted drawstring bag and kool aid, which I've been wanting for a while. Appropriately enough, the yarn the bag was knitted from is kool-aid dyed.

But my main thing...the awesomest pill organiser ever!

With ladyparts on the back!

And removeable compartments!

And a little thing for putting the compartments in, decorated with some of my favourite symbols!

Also included was some lovely chocolate, awesome sparkly bits inside the pill compartments, and a letter written on some fabulous Bettie Paige stationary that I am told edelC made for her in a different swap. I feel super spoiled and really hope my package doesn't pale in comparison as much as I think it will...

Persephone, Calliope, and Daphne - best sister pet names EVER :-) And Miley is totally adorable. Yeah, red hair dye fades like a bitch - here's a pic of me with it only just dyed, to show how much it faded even between then and my avatar - from orange to red in a week!

I should totally bling out my laptop. I have some stickers on it, but it needs way more [grin]

7  Re: Altered Journal-a-long in Craftalongs by Persephone Hazard on: April 25, 2009 12:34:19 PM
Pics of my rather amateurish and rubbishy journal! One about a weekend away (full of in-jokes and therefore won't make much sense!) and another the swap-journal-in-the-journal that I mentioned a couple of days ago:

9  Re: Fiber Friday 4/24/09 in Spinning: Completed Projects by Persephone Hazard on: April 25, 2009 12:19:55 PM
I call this one The Beast, on account of the amount of trouble it caused me. I am still proud of it, though - it's the first yarn of any considerable length I've ever spun, and my first EVER Fibre Friday contribution!

Sadly, due to stupidity detailed over in the babble thread, here is the pile of, unrescuable bits of yarn:

FAIL. But still, dude. I can spin :-D

I finally got batteries for my camera! So, though it's a good few weeks late, I can at long last show you the goodies sent to me by kali_akash that I described a few pages back.

The soap, the bath oils, the trinket box and the necklace:

These are a pair of earrings to match the necklace but they escaped the photo somehow. There were also a whole load of Reese's cups but they. Er. Weren't around for very long at all, to be honest [grin]

Close-ups of the amazing pendant and my favourite of the luscious rainbow of soap:

Thank you so much, kali_akash, and I'm sorry it took so long for these pics to materialise!
