I felted my scarf ~ I don't know why.... just wanted to see what would happen.  Cheesy  It's kind of interesting. I only did 10 repeats, so it's short, I might do another one the same length and sew them together at the top. It's Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool, dyed with green easter egg dye, and made on US10 needles. I made it big so I could figure out the pattern. It's 5 and a half inches wide, post-felting.

wow lace knitting looks AMAZING felted! Just THINK of what a bag would look like!!

Speaking of not being creative- theres just not allot of things i find i can do with my hair either. I wear it in different braids allot though. Here is my hair today, in a basic 5 strand french braid.

the colours arent that great, but you get the picture.

Thanks for the suggestions on switching colors, justlease. I was worried it might look weird but the colors seem to be changing less gradually than I expected and I think it is going to be alright. Here's another peek:

5  Re: Would this do well on Ebay? in Crafty Business Discussion by Shmooey on: May 03, 2005 12:39:44 PM
Well heres the pictures of the smaller peices... some are large however- up to a yard or two, i think. I really havent measured any of these. I havent yet taken a picture of the larger peices, so give me a bit Smiley

Crafster is going to miniaturize these, so links to the huge photos are below....

Well heres my update. Been through hell and back with this yarn.... we arent on speaking terms. This was my horrifying moment of the day:

and here is where  i am currently, starting the 6th set.

For this scarf, im using lionBrand's microspun... so it feels like a dream, and i cant wait to toss it in the wash and feel how velvety soft it is then. This yarn is terrible to work with, how it all untwists... ech. That and i had some problems with my ball winder that i dont even want to remember.

Knits up fast except for when i make a mistake, and end up with too many or too little stitches... because it takes so long to go back and figure out what happened. ech.

8  Re: Joann's yarn in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by Shmooey on: March 03, 2005 10:50:59 AM
Wow! You can actually buy some yarn from them! Wish we would get an official answer as to whats going on. I dont think i can be on good terms with joanns till they adress the green licorice issue. What happened to the other colours?

Anyway, with what i had, i ifnished my bag, and im really happy with it. Just a little bit under 2 skeins of Green Licorice, and about 1 1/5 balls of Rowan's "Chunky Print"

9  Re: gray tube with rainbow banding [or however it's spelled] :P in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Shmooey on: February 25, 2005 08:41:22 PM
I was so smitten with your top that i had to make my own, immediatly! I happen to have just taken out a bunch of crap out of my closet, so i just used the same ill-fitting-T, and stretched-out-tank method. Very simple and cute, but i had a few issues when i had to re-take the top band off and trim it so it was tighter. Turned out better than i thought it would.

ill have to make more of these, i really like it for summer.

Thanks for the inspiration!
