1  Rainbow Chemo Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by sere on: October 27, 2012 04:15:00 AM
I'm a colorful person and to replace a bit of my hair I wanted a soft, colorful hat. Got it, with the help of some Noro Taiyo (seriously wish I could afford to buy yarn like this all the time) and then I way butchered the Nubby Brim Cloche into just a stocking cap that I put a double walled brim onto. I was using a J-hook so I compensated by doing an extra increase round. I made a couple of flowers from one of my Japanese craft books to put on it, so I'll change out pics one I get them both sewn on.

I'm glad you guys like it. The scarf is a really quick and easy one.  Cool

Here's the pattern:

I started with a base chain of 188, working the stitch longways. You can go longer/shorter depending on how long you like your scarves. Then I just did basic shell edges on both. For basic shell you do 1 sc, skip two, 5 dc in next stitch, skip two, and then repeat.

I'd like to note that somehow my shells didn't come out evenly--there is an extra on one side, and I can't figure out how it got there. ^_^;; Don't let little things like that discourage you! Nobody will know it is off but you.

3  Simple Plum Colored Scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by sere on: August 07, 2008 12:03:37 AM
I've been at home sick for like three weeks now with evil, evil tonsillitis. So what better to do than sit in front of the computer, watch movies, and crochet! Grin

I just made a simple scarf, since I know that once school starts I won't have time for this crocheting business.

Scarf!

It looks smallish from this angle, but it is a decent length.

This one shows the stitches used much better. It's just a seed-like stitch with shells on both sides. Also this better represents the color of the yarn.

Thanks for looking. Any questions/comments welcome, of course. Cheesy

4  Always Bead Crazy: Bracelets in Beads: Completed Projects by sere on: October 01, 2005 10:51:00 PM

Fluorite, Czech glass, and Japanese seedbeads on memory wire, with matching earrings.

Peacock and lilac freshwater pearls with sterling and Bali silver.

Gold-tone wire, rose and crystal quartz. Handmade clasp, jump rings.

I don't post often, but I hope to start posting more! I've been making jewelry for about four years now and still love it. If anybody needs help/advice, I'll try my darndest to help. (Can't you tell this is a first post? XD)
