1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: stuffing clumping on: September 02, 2008 03:22:05 PM
Do you have any recommendations?  I've used multiple kinds of stuffing.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I've done a search and looked through the first five or so pages of this forum...  I'm working on a sock monkey (my second) and I'm getting really frustrated with the fiber fill clumping.  I'm using frustratingly small pinches at a time, and I still have a monkey full of lumps.  I really like making sock monkeys, but I'm ready to throw in the towel if they're all going to look like crap.

HELP!  What do I do to stop the clump?

Hehe, thanks wiseowl!  You're awesome, even if you may have a slight problem  Wink

It can't hurt to fix the typo in the title... you -> your.  It's a cool necklace, though.

Hehe, someone (perhaps from this thread, though is keeping silent) bought that headband shortly after I posted here.  I'm working on some thinner headbands in the near future.

I never expected my headbands to be huge, though I have sold three...  But I REALLY thought people would flock to this one, and it's has pretty much the least views of anything in my shop:

Bum-mer!

I found a wig to use on my styrofoam headband model, and I'm just wondering if you find it helpful for the head to have hair:

Here is an old listing without the wig:

Thanks, guys!

I'm loving your product, Foolily!  It's the most complete passport holder I've seen on Etsy, and I think I need to have one.  Keep adding more stock--I'm certain they'll be a hit!

I agree with BeaG on the banner, though I can offer absolutely no advice in that realm since my graphic design skills are in the negative levels.

Aside from the black bars, your photographs are really nice.  I'd never know without looking that you'd only been open a day or two!  You've created a pretty professional look right off the bat.  And your descriptions are great too.

My only regret is that the boarding passes aren't included  Wink  Now I REALLY want to go back to Toronto so I have an excuse to buy one Smiley

Well I almost hate to say it since everyone seems to be having a slow May (though maybe "slow" is subjective), but this has been my best month yet.  Maybe it helps (sales, not my wallet) that I have only changed about half of my shipping prices.

What has helped me?  I would say that participating in the buy and replace lists has helped, but only two of my seven sales have come from that.

I was also either listing or renewing almost daily until about a week ago.  But unfortunately life has caused my sewing to come to a screeching halt.  Actually, sewing has caused sewing to come to a screeching halt.  I've been making insane pirate costumes for the PotC:AWE opening next Thursday.  As of Tuesday I should be 100% complete, and I can start making headbands again.  And cuffs!  Oh do I want to make some cuffs!

Since my sales have been growing exponentially, I imagine that next month will be even better!  Maybe by Christmas people will rely on me for presents  Roll Eyes  It might be wishful thinking, but at this moment, I'm pretty darn proud of myself!
