1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Fascinating article about design theft by supplier to major chain stores on: January 17, 2014 01:56:41 PM
Pretty sure it's happened to me actually. I dunno though, I will readily post a tutorial on an Anthro rip off so I guess it's a two way road.
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / I'd really like to start a topic about Crafty Blogging...is that OK? on: January 17, 2014 01:52:14 PM
I am in the process of updating a craft blog I have had around for awhile because I want to treat it more like a business by providing free patterns in hopes of gaining adsense revenue and maybe affiliate links. Eventually I am hoping to sell space for advertising but that is down the road a bit. I am looking for other craft bloggers who would be interested in chatting it up about it on here. I would also like to find some people wanting to do guest posts on my blog and I would like to find blogs to guest post on. Basically just anything about craft blogs and some networking. First, is that ok on here? (forums scare and confuse me!) If yes, well refer to above ramblings!

Oh believe me, there was lots of singing of that song when I made this.  Mostly from my husband Smiley

9  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: How the heck do I make a quilt with JUST squares?! on: October 14, 2011 04:15:41 AM
gotcha.  I did find a tutorial for a rag quilt that seemed simple.  I found one using t-shirts and one using flannel fabric similar to the blankets I will be using.  You just sew all the layers together, one square at a time and then sew them together leaving flaps that you fringe cut later.  Not crazy about fringe in general, but I am almost positive I could accomplish it.  I have a rather cheap sewing machine (works decent and has survived my abuse though!) that I am hoping will make it over all the "bumps" with this method.
10  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / How the heck do I make a quilt with JUST squares?! on: October 13, 2011 03:18:18 PM
I have never made a quilt before but was hoping to make a very simple quilt from my daughters baby receiving blankets.  I can't find anywhere that has instructions for a simple quilt of squares.  I really have no idea where to start because every site I find that says they are for begginers never is.  I am also concerned that the fabric of the blankets might not work for a quilt?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
