2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: how does one pull apart watches for parts? on: February 18, 2010 02:30:24 PM
I started wrapping them in a towel and mashing them with a hammer... this worked but most of the important pieces where bent or scratched. Then, I discovered that you can pull out the little twisty knob (you know, the one that you use to set the time) with round-nose jewelry pliers, stick one prong of the round-nosed pliers into the open hole and wiggle it around until the back pops off. It's a cinch to pull the rest apart Smiley
Hope that helps!   Grin
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Fictional Characters Challenge on: March 15, 2009 07:17:53 PM
This sounds so cool!  Cool I think I have an idea... I hope it's not too close to the real character but close enough that you can get it. It'll be a huge project for me because I'm new at hard-core crafting ^.^ ( This is like my first post lol) Can't wait!
