21  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / yard totem/bird feeder on: May 17, 2009 07:59:26 PM
I found this really awesome ashtray at a thrift store, and even though I don't smoke, I bought it and it sat around my house for a while. I loved the color and the strange shape, so this is what I made with it!

lastly, a view of the ashtray....

comments/ criticisms welcome!

23  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Late winter/early spring wedding on: January 29, 2009 12:14:05 PM
My fiance and I are planning on getting married sometime in the late winter/early spring of 2011. I bought 100 invitations for $26.00 with little silver-y daisies around the edge, and I wanted to use those. I like the idea of red and teal for colors, but I'm up for any suggestions or opinions. I'd like to do this as cheaply as possible because we're both poor and so are are parents! lol Please help!
24  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Bullet casings on: January 25, 2009 10:42:01 AM
My fiance loves to shoot guns, and we spend all day yesterday shooting. I wanted to keep the casings to make something for him. Valentines day, our anniversary, and his birthday are all within 2 months, so i figured I could make him something for one of those holidays. My problem is, i don't know what to make! i was thinking of some kind of picture frame, but I'm not sure how to do it. Please help me! lol
25  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Bathtub Fountain! on: January 17, 2009 09:25:17 AM
I found a bathtub in the woods behind my house and decided to make something from it! I welded a steel pipe from an old swing set to the side and ran clear tubing up the tube from a pump. I used a faucet I got for free to act like the "shower". I love sitting out side and watching the fish jump thru where the water falls! I'm sorry I can't post pictures yet; I'm new to the community!

Here is the bathtub after my fiance dragged it out of the woods.

Here are the faucet pieces I used.

Once I attached the steel pipe and the faucet pieces:

The completed fountain!

plus, some fishies!

I hope y'all like it!
